I've looked around but can't find anything. There are laws in how dark sunglasses can be and the darkest sunglasses aren't nearly dark enough for me, especially if we go out of the country to somewhere warmer and sunnier. I wondered if there was a company or a website where I could get sunglasses for hypersensitivity? Ones that are really dark and would work for me.

Maybe look for a vintage pair?

Sometimes blind people wear very dark glasses, you could also buy one of those.

I never heard of "regulations" on how dark sunglasses can be (USA).

I know prescription glasses can only be tinted so much, but off the shelf sunglasses can be as dark as someone wants to make them.

Sunglasses are concidered too dark for driving safely after a certain level in the UK and you can't by them any darker.

Welding glasses. You should be able to get just the right lens for you.

I know someone who wears a pair similar to these. He looks a bit odd, but he likes it just fine.

I have a pair of prescription sunglasses with non-polarized lenses which I clip on a pair of PolarOptics clip with polarized lenses, neither is adequate by itself in bright conditions, but together it is very rare that it is too bright for me, plus if conditions do not warrant the use of both I can take of a layer of protection.

Oakley Black or Ice Iridium lenses should be plenty dark for you.

You can get anything on the internet and have it mailed, I don't see customs checking the tint of sunglasses. Perhaps you can buy the adheisve tint made for helmit viser tair-offs, cut a couple pieces out and apply then to the back of your sunglasses.

That should only apply to using them for driving, but I can see how UK retailers would have an easier time just not carrying anything darker.
