right, heres my problem... I have taken one of those internet IQ quizzes, and i don't know how i should feel about it now... as I recieved my results, I really couldn't believe my eyes....
IT WAS f*****g TERRIBLE.Don't ask me if you are curious about my score, I'm very hesitant to share it with anyone... i will only reveal it as a -1 on standard deviations... i hope this wasn't was a dead give away.

Even though some of the internet quizzes accuracy can be questionable, most(i assume) aspies have 3 digit IQs, and are over-achievers at school, but I don't fit into that criteria.....and that makes me feel as if i'm truly HFA then AS
It has dented my self esteem and proved my peers right.
I have never felt this upset and discouraged...

:(

Thats a myth about aspie being all high IQ. We are on the same bell
shape curve as NT. Also you can learn to improve your results on standard IQ test. Proving that IQ is not a real good measure of
mental abilities.

Don't forget that not all internet tests are accurate.

The result of an IQ test gives the measurement of your ability to do that particular IQ test. Nothing else. It's not a good indicator of intelligence.

I score quite well on IQ tests, as do others that I know intimately, however, this fact hasn't stopped us from doing many immensely dumb things in our lives. I would take your result with a large grain of salt.

I've got a 3 digit iq, member of mensa and all that, but I left school at 15 and have virtually no qualifications.

I don't think I'm very intelligent at all, I just seem to be very persistent with the things that I'm interested in. I just keep attacking at loads of different angles until I understand ideas on my own terms. Single minded you could call it, but I still feel dumb around other people. You could easily train yourself to do well at iq tests, but what would that prove?

Its becoming widely excepted that this test is not a good indicator of intelligence and is very limited. As well, its only an internet test so..

I intentionally tried to fail an internet IQ test and I was only able to get as low as 105.

My own internet IQ test results have varied wildy by as much as 20 points among different tests and as much as 15 points on the same test.
I do not know why this is so, but I hope that reassures you as well.

Thats true alot of internet test are for vanity and score people higher anyway. Not trying to make the OP feel worst because I have took some internet IQ test that refuse to score me because I
did not finish all the question in a certain amount of time. Which seemed like a dumb way to run a test.

None of the internet testing is accurate whether you are talking Aspie tests or IQ. I was given professional IQ tests several times as a child and the internet tests are not even close to the tests I was given. The AS tests online aren't even for real. It's just meant to be for entertainment purposes; you can't take any of these online tests seriously. Actually you can't take much of anything seriously that is online.

You should not take anything in real life serious either.

Agreed, live your life and don't worry about tests.
