I've been in therapy for a year and a half and it's helped me immensely with practically everything, but there are still rare occasions where I get really frustrated with my family. I don't want to hurt them anymore, and I only go to therapy every Tuesday, except for right now as well as last week because we're on vacation. Is there anyway for me to always avoid hurting the ones I love?

Can there be something you can distract yourself with? Read a book... do arts and crafts... play a game..something?.

You could also let your family know you're not in a good mood ... that could give them the warning they need to give you some space during this time.

Remember how far you have come, it will continue to get better.

Try to remove yourself from the situation if you feel an overload happening.

Apologise afterwards and, if appropriate, thank your family for their continued support.

The short version? Yes. StabilizingAutism/unsolicited-advice and What PAR can do.
It's fast, it's easy, it's durable, and it's free (for now). Donations to help Homeless Aspies ARE welcome though.
