This past weekend was really hard for him. He was the opposite of me in hs, he partied a lot (he's obsessed with military history, but pretty normal otherwise). As a result however, his grades dropped really low his senior year. His admission to the university that I currently go to was revoked, and he also lost his National Merit Scholarship (I am also a National Merit Scholar, which is a very hard award to attain). He also had a guaranteed job as a undergraduate research assistant, which was revoked.

The university will let him attend if he gets close to a 4.0 at the local community college for a semester, but he won't get the scholarship and job back. He will live at home for at least this year. This past weekend, my parents were yelling at him, and it got so heated I got really nervous and called the police (which was kinda extreme, but it stopped the arguing).

I was never on good terms with him, but I feel really bad for him.

Thanks for your concern. Worst part is, he is really interested in engineering, which is pretty intensive. He would be better for business possibly, as he has the social skills for it.
