Do you think PRISM (or any other government-run intelligence agency for that matter) pay Wrong Planet any attention or more attention than they should?

Prism. I think so but they do so on the Macro level. AS for interpretation of the data they get it is for security purposes and not to promote the civil rights as any group.

As a whole government and society failed a lot groups not just aspies by allowing for marginalization to occur.

Sure they are. Aspies are people. PRISM spies on people in general and that includes aspies.

I doubt Aspies or people with autism are watched more than others. The whole internet seems to be effected so it's hard for them to discriminate when it's everyone. But as for watching the forum, I don't think any more than anywhere else. But what we say here is intended by the people who post it to be published, so it's public knowledge what you say here and wouldn't need like anything special to know whats said. That said I think anyone in government wouldn't really get Aspergers/autism even those who'd you expect to but least of all people working as part of the programs we see on the news about this whole business are probably completely dumb about it all. But I don't think that dumbness about autism would change/effect anything either (any more than it does already). My take, don't worry about it.

That said I think these programs need to come to a complete stop and be tolerated not even a little bit by any country, group of countries (like the EU), entity or even individual because I like my privacy (I think I have a more serious need for privacy than others even) and think it's important to be able to say what I want and not to be monitored like some kind of criminal. That's like having pc plod sitting in your living room waiting for you to "do wrong". So I put my name down on the petition on the UK government e-petition site to have a public debate of the program we have here. I suggest anyone who likes their privacy do the same if there is some kind of petition they can sign in their country that relates to this or anything to do with rights and privacy.

If you are really interested in this, read up in the Information Awareness Office and Total Information Awareness. The idea is to collect as much information as possible about all US Citizens in a large database and then apply data mining techniques to it. Naturally, similar data is collected about non-US citizens whenever it can be obtained.

History often provides helpful context for understanding current events and in this case a lot can be learned from the reports of the Church Committee and Pike Committee.

Of course they are gathering data about you, but this doesn't make you a special focus of interest.
