Yeah I know it sounds incredibly stupid considering I am 21, but IDK I kind of enjoy it. it was one of the first video games I played. Well thats about it.

I will sometimes. As I grow older I'm actually more comfortable playing with childhood things. It's fine to just relax with something nostalgic, cute, and fun, and I'm not nearly as hung up on them as the people who make a big deal out of it.

I still do. I'm waiting for the 3DS version to come out in October.

I am probably going to play one of the first 4 again (Green, Blue, Red, Yellow) or one of the remake titles.
After that I'll try and work my way through some of the series. Is it possible to transfer starter Pokémon from the original games all the way into the latest ones?

You have to continually transfer from game system to game system. If you have gameboy advance, you'll be able to do it more easily. I am not sure how many, if any, of the first generation Pokemon are in the latter games. We actually bought two gameboy sp's with yellow, blue, and red for that reason.

I am 22, have various pokemon game guides on my shelf, and know where to find at least my Yellow version guide in a draw. The previously up to date type match up chart on my wall, I did have a poster with all of the pokemon on my wall earlier, but it kept falling down, and I am sure that I have the first movie on one of my shelves here, I am describing my bedroom by the way. I upadated to a bigger 3DS earlier partially from the allure of the coming title, and I have reordered Y version and the game guide. Usually I have Black 2 left in my DS, but lately I have been trying to play Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing.

I think that almost every pokemon handheld game I have played has had at least 200 hours put into it, but I don't like to get into those technical bits about choosing specific pokemon to fight to get the right stat boosts, and I have a bad habit of stop playing when I feel that I am getting to the end.

Also did any of you hear about the rock fairy? LINK

Yeah, I'd heard about that Bradleigh. I'm just excited for the new game. I can't wait for it to be released.

Haven't played in years, but I want to do so again! Can somebody help me 'catch up'?

You'll have a lot of catching up to do. Here's a list of games to date:

The newer ones have better graphics and new features, but still have the same general storylines and objectives.

I've also played Pokemon since red/blue/yellow first appeared in America. I am still trying to create the perfect team of monsters that are both powerful and my favorites with the recent games.

Back in the day, it seemed like Mewtwo was the only super winning pokemon to have. It got to the point where Nintendo Power magazine complained that every kid telling them about their pokemon team, must have Mewtwo to win.

Now there's an evolved Mewtwo?

Well, to start yes Mewtwo was very strong back then in the first gen because Mewtwo's unpredictable moveset and role with his stat distribution and move pool it is easy to say that he is one of the strongest Pokemon ever conceived of ( I am talking about gen 1 mewtwo not in later gens). If you faced someone using him you never truly knew what role they made their mewtwo till it was too late, not even a Chansey or snorlax could take more than 2 psychics from this beast. and you could just teach him submission to counter their amnesias anyway. There was no stopping Generation 1 amnesia Mewtwo. at lvl 100, Mewtwo could reach 999 special with just 2 amnesias... so not even the strongest sp. tanks could take him after that.

But you are forgetting all the balancing they have done to the game since then. special stat split, dark and steel type, new EV system, new Pokemon, etc. so I am not worried about mewtwo getting a new form, to be fair gen 1 legendaries never had exclusive moves but now Mewtwo has phystrike. And no Mewtwo was not the only "super winning" pokemon in gen 1, you are forgetting chansey, snorlax, tauros, dragonite (best wrap user), and so much more.

Due to a lil' nostalgia, I recently started playing it a bit here and there. I'm 24, who the f**k cares? Pokemon is badass.

Specifically, giving FireRed a try. Got the ROM for it. I played Red and Crystal as a kid and decided to try the remakes.

Have the gen I and gen II cartridges and have gen III on the emulator. I play them every once in a while or so. Haven't played any of the newer ones though.

I have played them all though I have never caught them all. My brother thinks it's stupid but I love it. Can't wait for Pokemon X & Y to come out.
