I am 14 years old and a girl. I get mistaken for a boy a lot and I like it, sometimes. Sometimes I dress like a boy if I don't want to "be a girl" that day, and like a girl for when I don't want to be called boy. I think that girls are very beautiful and I wouldn't mid touching one (like, a girlfriend kind of way) or kissing one. They also smell good like rose water and I want to play with their hair and smell sweet shampoo. Boys are strong and I would like the way a boy holds you tight and has rough hands and smells like a boy (like wood or a garage or slightly deoderized, not axe or whatever). I am a bit jealous of a boy's body, sometimes, though, like I want to have it instead of what I got. Sex is unappealing and it seems yucky and not good to me, with either gender (but I guess when I'm older, like 18 or something, I will try it to see if I like it). Am I supposed to know already what I am? It seems like my friends do... Am I normal? Do I sound like any kind of thing with a name, like gay or straight (...what about neither?) ? I am confused, but sort of relaxed about it.I don't really care, I just found a place to ask and thought I'd give it a shot. It might be nice to know what I am called.

I wouldn't want to label anyone else. there is a good book about women and sex, full of factual, unbiased information, you might want to read before you try out sex. it's called, "our bodies, ourselves."

I am probably too young to read something like that, but thanks anyway. I'm not really a full blown "Grown up" yet. Maybe I will just worry about his stuff later. Thanks, though! I will definitely keep the book in mind for later, maybe a few years.

At the moment it seems that you're bicurious That's when you feel "curious" about being romantic with other girls but aren't 100% comfortable with labels yet. At some point during your life, you may find that you prefer either boys or girls over the other; or you may be like me and just say "why choose? I like 'em both!"

I don't know what the word is when someone is curious about wanting to be the opposite gender though. I myself have gone through periods of time where I wanted to experiment with dressing and acting like a boy, however, every online personality test that I've taken that tells you if you are masculine or feminine has always pegged me as "Feminine", so I have been trying to embrace that part of me instead of pretending to be androgynous/masculine when it's clearly not a part of my personality.

Here is one of the tests I took that helped me figure out if I was masculine/feminine:

You scored 74.167 out of 100 masculine points, 50.833 out of 100 feminine points, and 48.333 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points.

This is what I got. I seem a bit more masculine, but also about halfway female and androgynous. I get no "clear" answer from this, I think, but it was fun to take. I thin it was mostly because of lack of social finesse and the like that I scored lower on the female part than the male part. Am I misreading the results? What do they say, "in a nutshell"?

Your masculine score is 25% higher than your feminine score, so in a nutshell, I'd say you're more masculine. Don't try to analyze your results too much, just take them at face value. :)

Ok :) I'm ok with that result. I guess that's what growing up with three older brothers gets me! haha.
