Just soft drinks here, getting through about 3 litres of Coke a day, but for some reason I don't notice a hugely stimulative effect of the caffeine. Do you feel much better now that you've replaced Pepsi with water?

Oh horribly, I used to be able to keep it under control, but I can't seem to anymore. I have two two-liters of Coke left and when I finish those I'm going off it for a while. I find I enjoy it more like that anyway, I don't drink it for six months, then I start again and it tastes wonderful.

I don't find soft drink addictive, or that nice. But I do like a cup of coffee or tea . :)

I drank roughly 2 liters of pop a day in high school, but then the last 2 months of junior year I started getting light-headed all the time and had to be home schooled. Found out after I started college that the caffeine was causing my lightheadedness. Now if I have much more than 20oz a day I get lightheaded again. I drink a lot of water now.

Caffeine and Alcohol both do screwy things with blood flow. I can't get really drunk because I get lightheaded before I can drink enough. I guess that's better news for my liver. Drank 2 long island iced teas once and that got me hammered, though.

I hear ya. Used to drink tons of Coke. Then one day my niece did a school science project where she put one of her baby teeth in a cup of Coke for 8 hours and IT COMPLETELY DISSOLVED.

Also, I use Coke as a rust inhibitor. It's great for this. I recently bought a used bicycle whose brake and shifter cables were badly rusted. So I took them off, soaked them Coke for about a day, wiped them down and now they look almost new.

Knowing what soft drinks do to teeth and metal, I no longer have any great desire to have that stuff in my body.

I go through phases with drinks, sort of like an obsession, maybe? I will drink one beverage exclusively and will only change when that particular drink is finished. Luckily, my family rarely buys fizzy, but when we do have it, i can get VERY involved. At the moment i'm going through a tea phase, which is best for everyone as me and caffeine does NOT mix well; and yes, i know you can get fizzy that is caffeine free.

On "How clean is your house" coke was put down a toilet that hadn't been washed for a LONG time, in a few hours it was spotless. 8O

I drink mainly coffee, water and wine. I hardly ever drink soft drinks at all, unless it is something I really like.

Yeah, soft drinks are not "natural" and therefore tend to have worse than average effects on things. Coke is really acidic. I like the bubbles. Carbonation is bad for my kidneys, so I try not to drink a lot of it, but I live for the bubbles.

"Bubbles! Bubbles! My bubbles!"
