I don't mean diapers or spit ups or anthing like that and I'm not trying to sound tottaly heartless either. But do you get grossed out just by looking at a baby? I'm fine with puppies, kittens, insect hatchlings and things that most other people would find digusting but I am tottaly appualed by human babies. I never played with dolls and told my mother when I was four that I never wanted children of my own. When my cousions and neice were infants I would hide in my bedroom until it was time for them to leave.

Babies can be quite cute, especially when they are sleeping. I'm not overly keen on snot, vomit, dribble and poo (though they'd be much better names for the Teletubbies, dontcha think?).

Toddlers and small children scare me because they're hard to understand and just SO random. I get embarrassed really easily and small children are great at causing chaos, so they make me anxious. Some kids are better than others, though.

No. I feel bubbly inside when I see a baby especially newborns which are the sweetest most adorable precious things on Earth. I volunteered in a preemie ICU for awhile and all I could think about was wanting my own little baby. Some older kids scare me though like for some reason toddler girls who will sometimes just stare at you for ages and say cruel things. But they're not all like that because I used to have a friend before she moved away with toddler girl and she was fun to be around.

I feel neutral about babies. They can be nice to look at sometimes, but they don't affect me in any way emotionally, either. I have a much bigger problem with the crying. Why does it have to be so irritating? Studies showed that babies cry with the volume of 80 decibels (dB), the same as a moving subway train. That's pretty staggering! Whenever I hear a baby crying in a public place, it annoys the sh*t out of me, and I find myself thinking: "Now where's a dose of melatonin (or NyQuil) when you need it? And why won't the parents just make the kid stop? How can they stand it?" It's one of the reasons why I never want to have kids. Two or more years of crying is just too much to bear.

Animal babies, such as little kittens and puppies, do affect me a little bit. I find watching them very comforting and relaxing. And their cries consist of quiet mews or whimpers, not an 80-dB wail. I think more people would be willing to have kids and like them a lot more, if human babies did that.

No but sort of yes. I can totally see where you are getting at, I do get a "strange" feeling looking at a baby but its not like "s**t, I have to puke!". It's more like an eerie, creepy feeling like "What the hell are you?"

But I must say I HAVE seen some cute babies though :)

I've always thought new born babies generally look pretty ugly - even my own kids (though that could be genetic  ). As they get a bit older they get a bit cuter.

I agree the crying is difficult, as is the puking, pooing & all that.

I always thought of them as Stinky-Winky, Dippy, GaGa & Poo

Heh, I've always felt that I'm not as fond of babies as most people are. Although oddly enough I do like toddlers and small children.

Not in the least. I'm great with babies. I have 2 younger brothers and my baby sister's 12 years younger than me.

I don't think they're revolting, but I do think they're weird looking. And I don't find them cute.

I like them, but I prefer cats. I am scared to hold other people's babies, but I do like babies.

Cosign.

Other than that, I think babies are cool.
