Hi, I Murph, I'm a lesbian who identifies with being genderqueer. I want to go to school to be an ASL interpreter. I love kittens and sometimes I think I am one; and I annoy people with my curiosity. I have a neurotypical girlfriend, she is the love of my life. All my friends are neurotypical as well. I love learning about history, currently I like the Cold War era. I have Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder, so I like to build my own world around me sometimes. I love music, currently I like hip hop a lot. I get good grades but school stresses me out. I like to read and I also write my own stuff too. I have a tumblr and like to use it quite often (trigger warning: it may be NSFW at times). I'm bratty but it seems like people like me enough, I just don't understand people all that well. Ask me more!

Hi Murph, welcome.

I like hip-hop beats a lot. Not usually the lyrics so much, but definitely the beats. It's one of the secrets I keep from my peers, so shhhh! Mums the word.

Hi. I had to look up genderqueer, ASL, Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder and NSFW.

Genderqueer - Even reading about it, I still don't know what it means. Wikipedia is vague.

ASL - American Sign Language. Hopefully I got this right.

Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder - does this mean you daydream so much you neglect things like eating, paying the bills, food shopping, watching a show on TV, crossing the street without checking, etc?

NSFW - Not Safe For Work. Hopefully I got this one right.

Hi. My literal aspie mind is still having a hard time understanding genderqueer.

Does it mean you like to dress up like a male and sometimes a female?

Are you attracted to both males and females?

Do you have the parts of both males and females?

Do you dress in such a way that it's hard for people to know if you're male or female?

Are you sometimes only into specific female activities (bridal showers, fingernail painting, etc) and sometimes just male activities (football, repairing gasoline engines, etc).

Are you into all activities that are normally classified as male activities and female activities?

Curiosity is a good thing!

I am only attracted to females, as I am a lesbian.

I dress like a man and a woman, depending on the day.

I love to weight lift so I guess that's a male activity, and I mostly and the "man" when in a relationship as with gender roles.

However, I like to dress like a woman on somedays in makeup and dresses.

I get misgendered a lot because I mostly look like a man.

I still prefer to be called "she" but am not offended if you call me "he".

Hi murphpotato, and welcome to the world of the Wrong Planet.

I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

Okay. Thanks for explaining. So I take it you have just the parts of a woman, right?

Inappropriate question, but yes, yes I do.
