My sister is addicted to that show now. I'm afraid that it's going to have a negative impact on her. She's almost an adult, but I'm sometimes worried that she will think it's okay to make light jokes about serious subjects (there are a lot of ignorant people like that already). I'm not a prude, but this belongs more on something like cable or Comedy Central than Fox. If that's all your humor composes of, then no, I don't like your show. But I do admit, I like South Park, but it's satire is presented in a somewhat different light.

My other complaint about the show is that it's the crack of TV shows and my sister watches it constantly, it's so annoying. Even my mom feels like she is forced to watch it with her. As for the show itself, I admit Meg is my most like-able character so far. But, the animation and voices are annoying too. That, with the fact that they make light of blue or sensitive subjects, is why I don't really watch that show.

Also, whatever happened to the days when TV shows were respectful of sensitive topics?

I don't like that show either because I consider it immature and just plain stupid, no offence to people that happen to like it. But it's not my cup of tea either, the same goes with South Park.

I can appreciate the absurdity, though sometimes the graphic violence goes way beyond comedy, but it's not a show fit for kids. I don't hate it, but I certainly don't respect it.

OTOH, I absolutely despise American Dad, because it's just not funny.

I used to watch Family Guy. I thought it had some funny bits. Fox decided to air The Big Bang Theory reruns in the same time slot so I switched over to that.

Family guy has it's funny moments, unless they drag the gag out too long or they're mean to Meg.

I like it sometimes. I mostly used to watch it before, because I have friends who watch it, so I tried it, and it wasn't too bad. I do think that it's funny, but it's sometimes just offensive. I don't dislike it.

The sums up my feeling about it. I don't like any animated comedy cartoons to be honest either.

I don't like crass comedy, so Family Guy and similar fare are nowhere near my area of interest.

I've been watching Family Guy since I was 13, and it's had no ill effects on my ability to make the distinction between what is and isn't politically correct. Admittedly, the first 3 seasons before its initial cancellation were a tad more subtle and sophisticated than the recent episodes, but what are you gonna do? Seth MacFarlane has found his cash cow, and now he's milking it.

I still very much enjoy watching newer episodes of Family Guy, though I don't like every joke or even every episode. I prefer it to South Park and Futurama, because I feel as though Family Guy is more quick-fire on the jokes. I used to like American Dad before it turned into The Roger Show and they made Roger thoroughly unlikeable.

I used to watch it occasionally, but not any more. I used to be pretty obsessed with the Simpsons when I was younger, which some people didn't like. Someone who worked at a youth center once told me the kids would use Homer's alcoholism as an excuse to drink themselves. I said, "Homer is a CARTOON, that's a pretty stupid excuse."

Um yeah, if Homer were a real person he would be DEAD. And so would a lot of other cartoon characters. Popeye would be dead because he eats nothing but spinach even though it's good for you. Pinkie Pie would be dead if she were a real horse and ate the stuff she does, especially the "baked bads". Garfield would be dead, Bugs Bunny, Winnie-The-Pooh, Ninja Turtles...

I've digressed.

Anyway, I just don't care For Family Guy. Some things I just don't like, even when I can't really say why I do.

I like Family Guy for its often random humor, but I dislike the fact that it can be offensive at times. I feel the same way about South Park.

Speaking of offensive comedies, no matter how disgusting/offensive Tosh.0 gets, I can't stop watching it and will turn it on every single time it airs (especially if it's an episode I haven't seen before). I find Daniel Tosh to be genuinely funny and I love seeing how far his show can push the envelope with the clips he shows (I'm still amazed that the "stripper soaker" clip made it on the air).

I've never really liked Family Guy all that much, especially when they cut away to some random scene that has to do with pop culture, such as getting high with Big Bird or something like that. And they cut away to those scenes way too much. I really don't understand why so many people like it.

It has a handful of funny moments scattered amidst the monotony. The show mostly gets on my nerves. Particularly when the people in the show say "This reminds me of that time when..." and then it cuts to something that has absolutely nothing to do with anything (like the episode where Peter fought a guy in a chicken suit for like 5 minutes). Overall I think the show is highly overrated,.

The show started off well as an adult substitute for The Simpsons but got progressively worse, less clever and too desperate to make you laugh constantly (much like The Simpsons is now).
Too many writers kills a show.
