Some good music to cope with feelings...

Well, I use music to cope with my feelings like a lot of people. However, my choice of music is not the best coping for me. So far the band that I use to cope with my feelings is Korn. Not the best coping band there is...

So, I need a band or some songs that represent this style of music. It sounds very meaningful but also mystic and like something that came out of a fantasy world. A good example will be "Eyes On Fire" by Blue Foundation. Either that or something that can be very deep, dark, or twisted but is played in a calm upbeat tune. Another example for that is "Every Planet We Reach Is Dead" by Gorillaz. Those are the only songs I have so far. Not electronic music, but music that is played in a band. No remixes either. Can anyone help me? Thankyou. :)

I listen to depressing hip hop that makes me realize my life isn't all that bad. I dealt with a lot of domestic problems growing up and Company Flow's "Last Good Sleep" helped me get thru that. The rapper, El-P, grew up with abusive men in the house and his sister got raped and all this s**t. This song is a masterpiece and really captures what it's like to feel powerless in an abusive house hold.

Another track that is very sobering is MF Grimm's "Scars & Memories". He was shot and left in a wheel chair for life while his friend (maybe brother?) was shot dead. The track is an ode to the dead man and recanting of the tale from Grimm's perspective.

One last one is from my hometown's deceased rapper and singer Camu Tao. Oxycontin. It's about addiction which is something I've dealt with for years and this always helps me get thru dark times with drugs and the mistakes I make because of them.
