what would it be?

But I mean you as you are, not you without Autism.

I wish when I was younger I had realized how much I love science instead of being scared and intimidated by it and thinking I was too dumb for it.

I would like to be a successful (meaning I could pay off my school debts and support myself for the rest of my life - don't have to be rich) - writer.

Fiction - I guess this is the way I long to communicate emotionally with people, if they got my fiction, I would feel like they got me.

And non-fiction, I'd love to inspire passion for science in people.

And I wish I had my own house with a little space between the neighbors!

Don't need marriage or sex, but I would like to have a few people that I could relate to in real life.

I've always fantasized about being a translator. I don't know many languages, but inaccurate translations infuriate me and cause no end of problems.

I don't know. I would have liked to have actually finished college but that would mean one career and not trying lots of different things. I've pretty much dipped my toe into all sorts of things I've been interested in at the time, and that's hard with a degree in one thing that you spent years learning about. Especially if they are all very different things.

I don't really know what I would have done differently. I'm sort of happy with how things turned out, even though I b***h and moan a lot.

ETA; Now if you are talking about fantasy life that I could be living, which I would have never had a chance of making happen, I'd like to be rich, somewhat famous, and have several homes - in the US, the islands, and Europe. And the time to enjoy them. And be beautiful. And respected, so not just any fame like Paris Hilton type fame. And maybe Royal too.

@wozeree, maybe you could combine fiction with your love to inspire scientific education. It's always funner to learn while you're having fun.

Personally I would love a life free from financial responsibility.

I am nearly finished my first degree in law but there are other things I want to pursue such as animation at film school, computer science and even medicine. I feel that it's not realistic to be able to study all of these things because I will need to get a full time job eventually :(

Fifty four years ago my dad asked me if I would like Julie [his girlfriend] to be my mother [instead of my real mother] I would have been a little girl who did not care about saying and doing the right thing.[honesty has always been important to me, unfortunately not as important as being "nice"] I would have said YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.It would have eliminated so much suffering, not only for myself, but for many others.

Fifty four years later, my mother, at 86, still works out 2 hours a day, has little old men after her, has fun traveling all over the world, and she is "oh so cute." Oh yeah, and she is still a monster, as are 2 of her children.

I wish I had known what I wanted to do when I was a teenager. Then I could have got an education while living with my parents and wouldn't have the student loan debt and credit card debt I built up just trying to survive independently and study as an adult. I feel like I'm never going to get out of debt.

I wonder where I would have ended up working and who my friends would have been.

If I could choose my life how I would want it to be, it would be this:-

Married to the bus-driver that I really like.

Both living in a small but spacious house in the countryside, away from kids, drug-addicts, extroverts and dogs.

Own a black cat and a white cat, and some fish.

Have a part-time job as a bus-driver (with my husband, who works full-time)

Both book our annual leave at roughly the same times so that we can spend our time off going on lovely holidays together

Have a few friends and still see my family when I choose to, so that I can get plenty of time to myself without other people in my house making a noise and invading my privacy (my mum or aunt are welcome to come any time because they are also peaceful type of people)

If that was my life, I would be happy. I would be in the job I want, with the man I love, in a peaceful house away from people and noise, and won't be too lonely but won't be too pressurized by people.

I wouldn´t change interests, music and arts, but I would have wished, that my parents had focussed on my "savant"-like skills in music. They were adviced not to pace me. I wish, they had. It took far too many years before I had any training.
In my perfect life, I would make money by teaching my favourite subjects, write articles on the matter and be an artist the rest of the time, - and I wouldn´t be scared of having an audience!

What kind of music talents do you have? You can tell by my username that I'm really into music.

Composition, I guess, - but I haven´t believed too much in myself. I´ve been a classical guitarist, but it didn´t really fit me physically. I should have stuck to the piano. I will go on playing, when I can afford to rent an instrument again. I am planning to take up musicmaking via pc, - and do a series of graphic. I really want to explore the connection between sound and color, - see if I can get a ping-pong going:-)
I am, all in all, classical.
What do you do?
