I like this form of learning, especially since I do not have to write a paper because someone else does it, and I do statistics in Excel:-)

I do not like writing papers or reports, and this is that in the two years I have to write a master's thesis, I just scares me to death.

I am studying "librarianship and information science" at the University of Wroclaw.

Now I do bibliometric analysis of scientific journal "PTINT" is a highly respected Polish quarterly in field of library science

I hate group work and prefer to do my work alone, with a book, preferably a video lecture instead of an in class lecture.

I didn't "hate" it, but I felt others didn't work at my level. So, I felt compelled to do most all the work myself.

Only liked it if I was working with people I regularly talked to outside of class.

I hate it. I always get stuck with the most annoying people in the room. (You know, the ones that go, 'dude, I didn't do my homework last night! whoo!' IN COLLEGE!)

I disliked group work, preferring to research and write papers on my own.

Really depends on the group and who I am working with.

Well I haven't gone to college yet. They tried to make us do group work in highschool. The teacher usually had to put me with a group because I didn't approach anyone myself. Then to be honest I didn't help because I have no idea how. They never taught me how to work with the group, they just stuck me with one and expected me to know. If I get stuck in a group in college now I know to just tell them "I have no idea how to do work in a group, tell me what to do."

I've never been a fan of group work at all and I had to do it very few times in college. I prefer doing my projects and assignments on my own where I alone am responsible for what goes on.

Group projects in groups in more than 3 or 4 are frustrating. Last semester, I was in a group of 6 for a project for Women's Studies, and it was so frustrating finding times to meet because of our conflicting schedules.

It was tolerable and I usually wound up doing whatever was needed and worrying less about the whole. I don't have any of the usual complaints about people pushing their work off on me or having trouble coordinating, unless we weren't allowed to work separately on different aspects of a project.

It can help me form friendships when I don't know how to initiate interactions.

But if I have to do something complicated, I'd much rather do it by myself. Trying to work with someone else makes it ten times harder.

When I studied for my masters, this was an essential (not surprising given that I was studying OT). Initially, I did not like it because although my classmates liked me as a person, they not necessarily liked me as a group member. But, I think the dynamics taught me how to work as a team, which is very important in real life- particularly in what I am trying to do in real life. Aside from being an autism life coach, I am also exploring the possibility of working with other autistic young adults in a vocational college program or two where I will be their OT and/or life coach. The team aspect there was that I would be trying to work out some terms with people in the LA autism community on what I can offer them that will be a win-win-win for everyone involved. After all, they have to win because it's supposedly for their programs' benefit. The autism community and I also have to win because I have to make sure I earn enough to continue my autism advocacy efforts.

The way I have always approached group work is 'divide and conquer.' I don't mind the initial meeting - but I feel like the only reason to come together is to determine what work needs to be done so that we can divide it up and go our separate ways to accomplish the goal. I do have trouble trusting that others will do the work they are supposed to, at a level I deem worthy of my own. And I can often times be a bit of a prude in an attempt to gather everyone's work and then smooth it over in an effort to give a more cohesive appearance.

I get in trouble often times. People get offended. But I also get really offended.

The only thing group work does is confirm social loafing.
