I was evaluated back in 2003 for learning disabilities. Though they didn't know enough about Asperger's to see it in me back then I was diagnosed with ADHD and general math disorder (what ever that means.) I think this may have been just after highschool as I had always planned to go to college someday. The ADHD was known about all along but I don't know if general math disorder will be in my high school transcript.

The reason this matters is because I finally am going to attempt to return to school. But life being what it is I no longer have a copy of my evaluation results. I called them this morning and found they only keep records 10 years. Mine have been destroyed and I don't know how or where to get reevaluated.

I had an IEP diploma, and my ADHD will be listed in my transcript according to my mom. But I really wanted to show my results to someone before taking the compass test because it's timed and I am slow at math. I can do math, but it takes a long time. My results recommended I be given extra time to complete assignments and allowed use of a calculator.

But I have no proof of this. I'll try and hope for the best. If the reading and writing are before the math and I don't waste all my time on math I should do OK. But if the math is first I don't know what will happen.

I'll tell you however, even if you had been able to provide them with the actual evals, they still would not have based any decision they made on those results. I too have ADHD and am physically disabled and had to have certain accommodations during college. They required me to have my current attending physician to sign off on the request for disability services. Now, had you just graduated HS and had an IEP and such then they'd have to honor your current IEP. It's very unfortunate I know but, all is not lost. All you need to do is go to you psychiatrist and have them fill out a form (one that the college will provide you).

HTH good luck.
