I have recently returned home from school to get some ADHD meds and I have been home for little over week and I feel like I am not going to last. Normally I seem to have a meltdown about once a month, but due to the amount of stress that I have been under lately I have had 3 meltdowns in the span of 12 days. The second meltdown was the worst. I was alone while my siblings and their friends ignored me and even made fun of me. While I was alone I was being tormented by my own inner voice and I was hitting my head to try to stop it. If I have another meltdown of that magnitude again, well I don't think that I will make it out alive.

Yes you will.

I don't think that you should put much weight into what your siblings and their friends say. You might have even scared them a little, because people are not often acquainted with the deep range of emotions you go through. And that makes them nervous, so they laugh and make fun of things that make them feel uncomfortable (I'm not saying you're bothering people).

If they don't understand that people are sad from time to time, then that's sad.

I have only had around 4 meltdowns in my entire life, I must say I'm jealous.
Allowing yourself to let things out is better than keeping them in.

Feel better.

Sorry it's been such a bad week, and that people aren't being very understanding of your problems. It's awful when you don't feel like you have the coping ability to handle the stress you're under – I've felt that way far too many times in my life too. I hope the meds help though, and that things will be better for you back at school!

I understand exactly what you're going through, sometimes when I just can't take it anymore, I punch myself right in the face (Sounds crazy, I know...). In my experience, the best way to avoid that kind of buildup that would lead to self-inflicted violence is to relocate to a quiet room with my computer. Forget what anyone else thinks or says, the only thing that matters is what you think and if those thoughts turn negative then the outcome tends to be bad.

(((Hugs))) meltdowns are terrible! urrgh I am sorry to here you are struggling, are you seeing anyone who might be able to show you some coping strategies? I have found meditation works well as a practical tool for coping when feeling overwhelmed.
Hang in there

I think people are a bit rotten for making fun of you.

I hope you feel better soon.
