I am just curious... My bf (Aspie) and me (NT) have talked a lot about dating and marriage and the reasons each one of us wants those things. We have also talked about what love looks like to us. I found it interesting that his response when I asked him why he wants to get married is because he wants to spend his life with someone who appreciates him. My response was because I wanted to share life with someone else. A sunset is nice, but even better when shared with someone you love. We both got more in-depth, but that is the gist.

So what do those things mean to you?

Love is the delusion that one person in the entire world is uniquely better than all of the others.

love is a bond between the one who loves and the one s/he loves. it is wanting the best for someone else.

I have no idea.
I mean, I love lots of people, but I can't tell the difference of friendship love and romantic love.

Hmm but you want the best for your parents right? But you're not marrying them...
I don't get romantic love.

I think the main difference in romantic love is that it includes sexual desire.

Mutual attraction between two people ending in either:

a) A massive argument

or

b) A series of happy squelching noises

What about friends with benefits? What about assexual relationships?

Its a Chemical interaction thats meant to propel you into wanting to procreate, a since of attachment that helps allow for the parents to remain together at least long enough to raise a child or family. Its all biological. even if your gay, the instincts would still be the same regardless of the mate. just because you remove one piece of a puzzle does not mean the whole puzzle is made any different.. you may not like or even want children, but that biological need for attachment remains. Also, there are the social and cultural aspects to be considered.

What is love, baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more :P Extra points if anyone gets the song reference and the title of this thread :P

On a more serious note, Only the OP can tell if this love or not and must make the decision his or hers self :)
