I'm into practical, no-nonsense digital photography. I have a digital camera but because of my visual impairment and a case of nystagmus it makes it slightly difficult to use. Anyway, my Flickr site is here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lancashire/).

Define what you mean by 'practical' and 'no nonsense' in the area of photography please. All photography is a creative art, whatever form it takes.

I would have thought my Flickr site would have given you some sort of idea. What I meant was is that everything is as shot. None of that Photoshopping nonsense.

I do not even have photoshop actually. I wouldn't know how to use everything on it. These are as they are, shot, loaded on and shrunk to a suitable size. Though I have no issue with people using photoshop if it is used to rescue a shot that hasn't quite got the contrast etc right in the first place. Most doing photography at a professional level make extensive use of photoshop and other such programmes. And thankyou those who took the time to look. I must assume my work is either so good that no one can speak, or so crap that there is not space enough for all the criticisms  But then, this is not a photography forum, but rather, an AS one.

Thankyou :D Been a lot of hard work, trying to relearn all the basics as well as get to grips with using a digital slr, having only ever used a film slr. Also, the light has been very poor recently, making it more difficult. I am far from perfection in my eyes, but I am becoming more proud of what I am achieving. Thanks for commenting.

I like your photos very much Graelwyn, especially the nature ones, the pebbles, the birds. They are beautiful!

Thanks guys for commenting and glad you like... a few you will have noticed have a blue tinge...that happened because I had set my camera to an incandescent setting, so everything, including some flower shots, came out looking somewhat blue. I liked them that way anyway :P It is sunny right now so I think I might try and get out quickly and take some bird shots...and take bread with me this time as that seems to be the only way to get the critters close enough

I like the shots of the pond. You have a great eye for color.

I just took these an hour ago, they look fisher price by comparison, but I think electrical towers are really cool looking:

Does it look better in color or B&W do you think?

B&W! Really cool. I used to sketch the equipment at the docks, here, because of the neat lines.
