I liked number 4, which is: "no one actually knows what the hell they are doing"
I'll remember this when I feel lost at life. But at the same time it means goodbye to my hopes oneday when I get older and wiser I will just know. Well, never mind...
I also like this one from a brazilian humorist:
"I learned with life that often the person that wants to share their religious views with you doesn't want you to share your religion view with them"
I like it a lot!
f**k that sh** is pretty cheap.
Did you read the article or was your comment a reference to the title of the article? Lifehacker is a pretty decent site. It's a self help site with depth.
It's hard to help people when they know better though. It's a pretty huge barrier to self improvement when you've got a dismissive attitude.
I did read the article. All I got out of it was that the guy who wrote it is just one more self-important jerkoff who fancies himself as some kind of expert, in this case on "life lessons", and so gets on the computer and writes a down-talking article about it. He opens with a couple paragraphs conveying what a worldly jackass he is ("I peed on a girl's lawn and almost went to jail! I'm so hardcore, man! I'm almost 30 and really mature now but man I was wild back then! I'm gonna be living in VEGAS, man! U jelly, reader?"), and he backs it up later on by telling us about how he travels and all that amazing stuff (U jelly, reader?). Then he claims not to be pretentious, even though anyone who has to go out of their way to tell their audience that they're *not* pretentious is likely one of the most pretentious dickheads you'll ever come across. He hits all the usual bases, a couple of empty "you can do it, there's hope!" lines, a couple of typical "tough love" (gag) lines like "you're not important and no one is thinking about you" (I already knew that, but thanks anyway!), and "people are good, YOU'RE the one with the problem!" And of course there's a "be more extraverted! be more social!" undercurrent running through the whole thing.
I guess my main question is, if no one knows what the hell they're doing, then why should anyone listen to this guy when he gets on his soapbox and feeds us tired Dr. Phil-isms in the form of sanctimonious "life lessons?" I mean... he just said that nobody knows what the hell they're doing.
That article sucks, that website sucks, all websites like it suck (especially cracked), and all the writers for all those websites suck. Stop giving them hits.

u jelly, reader?
at the same time I think it could be useful, I mean, you wouldn't believe the quantity of people I know that think everyone else is thinking about them... that's the whole point of social medias right? (to many people at least)
