It's been about 2 weeks since they shut down Youtube, right when I was uploading a video. Then my computer farted and when I tried to reload the page the same f*****g we've been seeing for 10 years popped up. Yeah, thanks for that.
:?
I really want to know what you guys think about this certain topic. I thought I could create this topic in the Philosophy and Politics thing but this didn't sound so rational and deep enough to be worth putting it there so.. here it is.
What do you guys think?

What's been happening for 10 years; no YouTube? I'm pretty sure it hasn't even existed for that long. You mean internet censorship has been a common thing to see in Turkey in the recent 10 years?

Censorship has always been an issue for us and Youtube is the most infamous and most expectable victim of it. It hasn't been blocked a lot but when it was blocked then... well, it was gone for months. I'm just tired of these guys bugging our lives and privacy. It's ridiculous.

good luck with that the united states would just call them terrorist and help protect the government because they are considered an ally

Who do those savages think they are banning Turks from accessing YouTube?

It's time you guys took up arms and overthrew your government.

The AKP are Islamist authoritarian bigots. The CHP look slightly better.

All that banning doesn't keep us from doing anything, actually. We might be dic*s when it comes to traffic and football but we're also smart. We use proxy sites and servers [just like you guys]. Thanks to the government, we're now the masters of disguise. Believe me, it 's cooler than it sounds.
CHP is the first party of the Turkish Republic. It offers freedom, balance and real justice. They just can't fu**ing talk properly. Those guys don't use great, strong words like they really should.
AKP knows how to get to people. The leader of it is confident, he stands his ground and knows how to get the job done. If CHP wants to save this country, it needs a leader.

Is the division between two party's voters largely based on Islamism? How likely is a devout Muslim to support the CHP (there should certainly be good reasons for that)?

You may want to take a lesson from our Founding Fathers when you kick that f**k Erdoğan out of office. Use our Constitution as a model. Our Founders knew that rights aren't gifts from government. Why don't Eurasian nations seem to get this concept? African? Maybe it's because since the inception of the United States as an entity, we never had feudalism. The tribal governments that existed before still had some hereditary rulers but our model of state secularism, freedom of speech, freedom of and from religion, etc., come from the Iroquois Great Law of Peace. We never had a legally enforced aristocracy, nor nobility--things that the European migrants came here to escape from. The British tried to set up the 13 Colonies like western Europe--a patchwork of infighting states stacked on top of one another. It didn't work. Add in a tea tax, lack of representation, and you got a powder keg.

He also has to start recognizing Atatürk's role in the Armenian Genocide and the wrongful deportation of Greeks (mutual or not). The U.S. government (Govt. doesn't equal an entire country) made peace with slavery, Jim Crow, Japanese-American internment, Indian Wars, etc. Germany's made up for the Holocaust. Why can't the Turkish government? What do they think is going to happen? I mean, come on. The Anatolian Peninsula's been home to so many different peoples for thousands of years. Factor in all the migrations and resulting interbreeding and it's impossible to tell half of Turks from Greeks by sight alone. I can only go by their languages/names. That's not racist because I've worked for Turkish people before. The diner I worked at was owned by them. About half of them looked white. Some looked Arab, one East Indian, and another could easily be mistaken for Chinese or maybe Filipino. (I myself get mistaken for American Indian half the time and the other half I'm Chinese, Hawaiian, Japanese, Filipino, Turkish, Mexican, Korean, half-Indian/half-white. I'm American first and foremost and a mix of English, Scots-Irish, Welsh, Dutch, French, German, black, and at least Lenape, Assawoman, and/or Narragansett Indian, back to the Mayflower.)

Hell, go one step further and impose term limits on your government. We at least restricted our presidents to only two terms max after Franklin Roosevelt, and everyone else from Congress down to the local dog-catchers is overdue for them.
