I've just had the most horrid of days... got utterly kicked out of an establishment for no reason whatsoever (literally), and... got £240 scammed out of me. :(

These two people (just some youth, not stereotypically manipulative bankers in a suit or something) seemed friendly enough... but then two of them said they were going to get me something while waiting with some other guy (who later just vanished under the guise of peeing due to wine intake)... and obviously none of them re-appeared.

I honestly don't care about money, but how, possibly, in literal broad daylight could I have been so slyly thieved?

Some years ago I got two other guys off my back after threatening me, for £10. Now, I don't even get threatened... but I think I'm officially ret*d...

What kind of place did you go to?

I can be pretty gullible, by the way. No judgment here.

Why did you give them money? Were you supposed to be buying something?

Yes... as you can imagine, with the amount of stupidity all over in the world over the whole witch-hunt over drugs, one can only happen to seek out some random guys in order to be able to be pleasured by some cannabis. It's a healthier plant than tobacco and yet I have to go through all this nonsense, while I can efficiently buy a packet of tobacco cigarettes, with a thousand carcinogens, in under two minutes. Argh!

Now I understand....drug dealers are not usually a virtuous lot.

Can't wait for cannabis to be legalized in many places, so we could marginalize those creeps.

Sorry to hear about that, Moo.

I am a bit of a sucker for beggars. I always try and help people, particularly if they are honest about what they need and have good manners. However, I try to buy things for people who I suspect could be addicts rather than giving them cash. Sometimes they catch me off guard with glossy story though.

The_Walrus, these weren't beggars... this was supposed to be a transaction.

You got ripped off by drug dealers. Many people get ripped off by drug dealers. That's the risk one takes when one enters a "black market" type of situation. This doesn't make you especially gullible.

I know... I was just talking about how I can be gullible sometimes, to let you know that you aren't the only one :)

Always buy through people you know. Consider yourself lucky that one of them didn't turn out to be an undercover narc. It could have turned out much worse. :?

As far as gullibility goes, I think as I've gotten older I've become less gullible, but only because I've become much more paranoid. 8O

I don't buy or use drugs, but I am very very gullible in real time when people talk to me.
I don't get paranoid until I think about the conversation afterward.

kraftiekortie... stereotypically, usually, I assume though, being ripped consists of getting low-quality or in some manner adulterated stuff (which isn't an issue with weed, as far as I know, although quality can vary, just as its effects do).

Not just dumbly getting all friendly with them and then being so naive that I just hand over £240 in the belief that he'll just go around the corner to get it. :x

(Oh, I'll just admit one little positive thing, though: another guy I eventually got some from (the one I originally intended to meet but could initially be found nowhere)... happened to be the only shirtless guy in this field with loads of people lying about. I got to get close up to his chest :cyclops: - I just love shirtless twinks. :P)

Somebody could split with your money. Or, like you mentioned, give you "beat" stuff--baking soda, rat poison, etc.

And what the Americans call the "Narcs." Jail is a bad place for Asperger's sufferers.

Narcs for users, really? I doubt it... I always assume they go for the suppliers, not users. Would require way more resources (while murders are no doubt being committed without even their knowledge).

But seriously, I couldn't care less. Right now I'm in a limbo the size of a metaphysical vacuum... I barely exist, let alone live. The last time I talked with someone (before this unfortunate incident) was three weeks ago... you know, actually I recently phoned one of those stupid cops to ask about volunteering for his alternative accommodation idea, except they seemingly ran out of beds (just like with mental health in this country)...

There's narcs for users, too. They want you to lead them to the big boys.

I'd be more inclined to think they want the dealers to lead them to the suppliers. It would be just a hilarious situation, anyway, as I barely know anyone and anyone barely knows me!
