So is this the culture we have to learn to understand and accept?

Is Islam truly a noble culture that produces people superior to "Americans" and "Westerners"?

I think it's an abomination that people like the person whom was quoted are allowed to breed and go near kids.

I'm not even against physical correction, but this is just disgusting and apalling.

The reason I post this is because people in another topic I made are saying that Christianity and Islam are the same. Christians may individually have flaws, but they do not act like this. You do not see Christians demanding four wives, 15 kids per wife and advocating beating the kids every time they 'look funny'.

I'd like to know why leftists can get so outraged over the reelection of George W. Bush that they had to go to counseling, but insist that we have to 'understand' this kind of atrocity.

All religons have nuts. The bible tells you to stone your children to death for disrespect. Better to hit a kid once then murder him.

It's a perfect mirror of Christianity.

Christianity=/=Islam

Monotheistic religion sure has changed since Judaism first came along. It's completely alien to the other two monotheistic religons of the world.

Personally I think the Islam will boom in future years. The monopoly of big christian churches in matters of faith is collapsing. Muslim people climb the social ladder and so their religion will also gain acceptability. Tradition and prejudices may constitute an obstacle now, but it is only a matter of time until the process of acculturation will take place. As soon as Islam will proselytize more, people will gladly join. Atheism on the other hand will always stagnate because of a lack of community - sense and proselytization.
I don't know how it is in America, but I think in less than one century for instance islamic political parties will surge and institutionalize in Europe.

Let's hope not. As much as i believe most Muslims are fair and honest people, i just do not hold to alot of their values. Four times of prayer a day? Making all meat halal? (which is just sick, the way they do it), a sense of sexism... no thanks. We are a western society, and whilst in their home countries they should live their lives as they see fit. But when they live in 'the west', they have no right to change our lands and our fundamental way of life (which i persnoally believe needs improving, but not by replacing one theological base with another). I'm not Islamaphobic by any means, but i still do not want our culture to be suplimented by one which has a greater scope for fanaticism and religious cruelty (at least at the present.. the fact that in Palestine husbands are allowed to beat their wives as long as the blows don't leave a mark on the skin, the veil and whatnot is a definate sign that our values are different to Muslims, and i'll be damned if i have to abide by them, or any values other than my own.

But in terms of that article, who wrote it? Where are the references? For all we know, it was written by a fanatical Christian trying to bring more negetive feeling towards Muslims!

Islam is a manifestation of evil. There is not ONE pro to that religion, only cons.

Well there it is, in a nutshell.

I feel no difference towards Christians, Jews or Islam. Its all works of fiction.

Christians and Jews don't bomb people for nothing. They don't f**k around with threaths when people draw Jesus either.
They are pasifistic religions. Sure there have been idiots who've misinterpreted the word of God and done lots of s**t, but you don't see that nowadays. THese days however, you see planes crashing into buildings and subways blown to hell, and its not done by Christians.

Islam and Christianity both have a billion followers each. If even a million in each religion are homicidal nuts thats still 1 /1000. The number of sociopaths for exceeds 1 in 1000. Religion is false but religion is not the problem. People can be atheistic communists(etc) and still kill people on industrial scale.

What's wrong with halal meat? The corner store down the block in my neighbourhood sells fast-food chicken and samosas, and the sign says that the food is Halal. Is there any particular reason why I should avoid it? (The samosas are wonderful.)



Then how do you explain the Crusades?
