Hi, I decided to join this forum. I am a 16 year old and am currently living in the UK(London). I was formally diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, although the psychiatrist said that this diagnosis does not exist anymore so it's technically HFA. My interests include mathematics, physics, robotics/multi-copter building, programming, and Herpetology. I also enjoy reading comic books - mostly Marvel but my favourite is Batman so I appreciate DC, and also some Strongtium Dog. I am also a Tolkien fanatic and can speak some Sindarin and Quenya. My knowledge of Herpetology is vast and I have been obsessed with it since about 3. I have always had a bit of skill with mathematics but it is only in recent years I have gotten into it fully. I am going to a mathematics only sixth form next year so that should be fun! I used to be certain on what career I wanted but I have decided to keep my options open a bits so I hope to study Mathematics, hopefully at Cambridge, and then either do a PhD in mathematical physics, topology, or theoretical computer science. I also enjoy problem solving so spend some time doing Olympiad Problems and so on. I hope to make some friends on here but also I would like to help people as much as I can.

If anyone likes maths olympiads, PM me and we can collaborate?!

Hi SamuelBird! Welcome to Wrong Planet! Check out the many interesting and helpful forums here. There are some on math, computers, and electronics. There are also some for games and art, and young people, so you should have no trouble finding people here who share your interests. Although I don't share your particular interests, you really will find friends and help here. There are forums for many, many areas of interest. So have fun here at WP! :D

Hmmm... I am not sure what a Math Olympiad is really so can't help you there. And actually, well... Math has always had it out for me so... :wink:

But many of the things you mentioned are interests others have expressed here, and I am sure you can find like minded people.
