I like traveling too. But I like to go home. I know where 'home' is. :)

Yes, but I also like to believe that nothing I need is more than 100 miles from my home.

I love to travel. I've mainly been up and down the West Coast of North America. I've also been to Quebec a few times. I've been to Oregon a couple of times, and California, once. I'd like to travel through the UK, France and Germany, because these are the countries that my ancestors were from.

I love travel, and the farther from home it is, the more I enjoy it. I've been to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Israel (the only overseas travel I've done). The next place on my list is Argentina. The world has a lot of wonders that are just waiting to be discovered.

I'm not sure why this thread was resurrected, but I do love to travel.

As a kid I never tired of travel, but now I enjoy getting home and relaxing. But until that point I love traveling. I've never been outside the US but there's a lot of places I'd like to see.

It depends.

I don't often like the actual process of travelling. Especially where there are connecting planes / trains / buses involved. It's stressful because of the very real risk that something will go wrong. Cancellations, strikes, confusion about where to go for the next part of the journey. The service providers aren't always very helpful about putting things right. Economy class air travel can be quite uncomfortable even when it works properly, and these days it's as likely to go wrong as it is right. The food isn't very nice and there's quite a high risk of constipation on a long-haul flight. There isn't much to like about the process of most "cheap" travelling. It's probably best to go by car, but if it's a long way that can get quite uncomfortable too. I quite like being on the London Underground as long as it's not for too long or too crowded. And ships and boats can sometimes be good fun.

As for the destinations, I don't much like sightseeing. The prices for food, accommodation, and getting to see things are usually a lot more than I'd pay if I were at home. And the things to see can sometimes be a tad underwhelming, and they're soon over.

But I've been known to enjoy visiting friends and family, and the change of scenery and routine in a different place can be quite refreshing. And I like performing music at venues outside my home town. And I like taking photographs of things that don't get seen very often. Some of the architecture is good. I like parts of rural England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

I like having traveled. I like remembering places I've traveled to and the things I did. But while it's actually happening I find it stressful and hard to enjoy. Particularly if I'm in a country that speaks a different language.

I have a partner who is responsible for me being reasonably well traveled. I wouldn't have gone to half the places I've been to if it weren't for her.
