I hope this is the right place to post. I was wondering how many of you are actors or are involved in the film industry (or want to be)?

I've been making films for 3 years now and I have met a group of people who I make films with and enter them into festivals... sometimes getting some paid work. :P

I've also jut started in the mad world of acting too, and have had a chance to act in a few projects. I'm a lover of Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde's plays as well.

Would be great to hear if any of you share my passion!

:)

I am trying to be an actress and am going to go to community college for theatre. I had really wanted to go to Emerson College in Boston and I got accepted for screenwriting and I have written a teleplay. However, my parents did not let me go. I really want to get more involved with this kind of thing. Marilyn Monroe and Orson Welles were actually related to me and I aspire to be more like them.

Oh, and hi!

As I have written elsewhere on Wrong Planet, I worked for several years in the film industry as a technical staffer with the Sundance Institute filmmakers' laboratory and the Sundance Film Festival (as well as a bunch of other film-related groups and businesses). Buuut my only experience in acting was when I filled in as an extra for a Sundance lab project scene with Armand Assante and David Clennon. Meh.

So, I might not be exactly who you are looking for.

I appeared as an extra on a Crimewatch episode and appeared in a scene in "Beautiful Thing" [movie] although I am not a film extra or actor.

That reminds me that I was included in an episode of A&E City Confidential, but it was just old local news video. I had no idea that I was in the episode until I watched it. Hehe.

I want to apply for drama school in London but unfortunately I have no experience whatsoever...:(
Acting has been my passion all my life and I think being highly empathetical as an Aspie can be an advantage?
