Yes, but if I go for too many days without direct sunlight, I get really depressed.

i'n not too fond of artificial light. at night when it gets dark i will usually have the lights on for a while and then turn them off or dim them. i prefer dim light, or when i'm using my laptop i'll use the light from that instead, turning down the brightness.
i really like candles too. i used to make them.

I don't like working under direct fluorescent lights, so I switch them off. I prefer dimness or mild darkness to fluoros.

I have white Christmas lights a.k.a fairylights strung around the ceiling perimeter of every room in my house. It give off a nice dim flicker free, shadow free light that's easy on the sensory issues. BTW: I use the incandescent kind. The LED's flicker like crazy.

Darkness for me, but the problem is you can't get much done really, so I guess dim light.

My curtains are always half drawn, even when I am painting - interior lights very dimmed except for my reading one and even that is muted. I can't stand bright artificial light, makes me feel twitchy all over like I am at Gestapo headquarters! Don't like too much sunlight, either. I am a twilight kind of gal. :)

Yes. I close curtains and blinds and dim lights whenever I'm alone.

It's funny you asked this, because I recently redid my Windows 7 theme to make everything really dark, as I had a pounding headache last night and I was having a hard time handling all the white and brightly-colored stuff on my screen. I basically set it up so that most applications show green text on black.

But yes, I do feel more comfortable in darkness and/or dimmed light. I don't like direct sunlight, and I much prefer going outside when it is overcast.

Yes, definitely. And I never liked sunny weather either, I only really enjoy being outside if it's overcast.

Yes. I love sitting in the dark with just my tablet screen as the only source of light. It is easier to read, no distractions.

I'm the opposite. I grew up in a very brightly lit household. So I feel far more comfortable with bright fluorescent lights on. I need to see things very clearly, too. I can even fall asleep with the light on. Not that I need the light on to fall asleep. I feel very uncomfortable in a dimly lit room.

I spend the day in my prescription sunglasses and the curtains are always closed during the day. However at night I need the landing light on and the curtains open :s

Migraines don't help.

I don't mind the dark so much when I'm going to bed, but generally I do prefer light. I can't bear sitting in dimmed light, I feel like my pupils are being stretched right open and I go all dazed and starey. I prefer to actually sit in normal to bright light.

Weather, on the other hand, is a bit different. I love the sunshine, but I do also like the rain. I sometimes feel cozy indoors if the sky is getting really cloudy outside and it's about to rain and/or storm. But that's a different sort of dullness, and doesn't hurt my pupils. Evening dullness is the type I hate, and I have to put on a light as soon as the sun begins to set.

I like bright light for getting things done, and dim light for relaxation. I have a red lamp in my bedroom that I use in the evenings to help me get ready to sleep.
