Something I wrote when I was somewhere like 16-18. Don't beat me with a frying pan, please, slippers are quite enough. ;)

Empathy

My soul, what ever do you want?
I have found no place for myself for many days,
for many days my eyes have been trying the ground.
My soul no longer agrees to stay inside me,
leaks out of my fingertips into the wide world.
I fly with the seagulls in the sea of blue,
bend my green thin body in the wind,
fall in a thousand raindrops and feed the rich soil.
Once I have been like anyone, simple and strong,
and thought I knew something about something...
But one day something unspeakable
touched my heart,
and the sky poured into my eyes.
Since then, I speak not, become what I sense,
and harbor the whole world in my breast.
I'm so tired... why this torment
of being torn into a thousand living parts?
Or maybe my soul, wishing to leave my body,
simply wants to grow as grass out of the earth?

Healing Flames

The dawn is fresh and brisk.
A strong cold wind
blows, bending the bloodied grasses, into scarlet infinity.
And no-one suffers because someone else's soul
is weakening with a thousand wounds.
I measure with my stare the piercing distance
that, like a door into an unfamiliar, strange land,
guards someone's dreams...
I'm torn apart inside,
but I'm aware that the eternal seed
that I have carried earlier, and sought to sow in others,
will blossom at some time at least in one man's heart.
What's left to me is watching that red fire,
and welcoming,
in the freedom of despair,
the entrance into the scarlet gates of the unknown.
..........
The dawn is flaming hard,
and in those flames I shall immerse myself,
and fade forever...

I don't think I'll ever have a large enough attention span to read a poem.

But I'm sure it's great anyways!

nice!!

i'll copy it to the other thread i started, and write a few people to start some drawings(in a slow tempo as you already must have noticed, i am often taken by my studies) ,
maybe seigneur has already made some? what did you think about the idea of you putting it all together? (which doesn't mean you couldn't do any single elements as well of course, but i just thought you are very skilled in putting elements together and give them a final touch)

I like these poems very much. There is very powerful imagery in them, and a lot of feeling.

(Sorry, couldn't find the other thread, so I thought I'd post here)

hi starr,
i would like to make some illustrations together (that is someone starts a drawing, or posts an element of a drawing and if someone else is inspired s/he continues)
i don't know whether it will work out, but there are so many skilled artists here that it might potentially work

also when i see how we 'create' whole threads together i felt like there is some 'groupspirit' somehow, and that we'd be able to put this in something creative.

so i proposed to be the person who tries coordinating it, and maybe also participate a little,
like now i feel it's necessary because it needs a start, some people are already enthousiastic,
we only need to get it in a more actif state now.

we'd do the illustrations of poems (see the other thread for more explication if you are interested)

i thought first see whether it could start just like that, and if it does not get enough attention i'd ask some people from the 'post your art'-thread.

here is the thread
http://www.wrongplanet.net/modules.php? ... ic&t=23754

(it would be handy if it could be sticky, but i asked alex and got no reply, so i guess it's not possible, or he's got too much things to answer and solve already)
