Sometimes I feel like I lost a love interest as soon as they add me on facebook. I mean does it really matter about how many friends? pictures? guy and girl friends? I have maybe 5 profile pictures, most of my facebook status updates are links to articles, quotes, or pictures. I also hate that I don't get a lot of "likes" unless I try to socialize a lot. Is this a huge turn off for men? I kind of don't want to be perceived as weird. Thoughts?

Didn't realise it would come into the equation. I've always refused to add someone on Facebook if I haven't met them yet in person, but I broke that rule recently and have been having an awesome conversation with someone I've only met online so far (easier to chat on there than on a dating site). It hadn't crossed my mind that anything in my profile would have a negative impact on our relationship.

People use Facebook in lots of different ways. Someone who has a problem with the way you choose to use Facebook is being silly.

I dont think its how I use it.....I mean how I am being perceived.

I am just gonna stick to my usual artist / intellectual types who dont care. Its the social types that seem to care

Not exactly sure what could be the issue here, but if you have noticed this to happen more than once, you could ask them about this.
There isn't much to lose anymore.

As for guys, then no. Generally they do not care or even check how many friends you've got or what status updates you have posted before.
Pictures are somewhat important though.
