This one splits a LOT of hairs. To be honest I think it is reprehensible, yes, although I believe it's best for everyone to respect life, no matter what's going in everyone's brains. The opinions which matter most are those of the child first and donor second; the most important priority is that everyone remains calm, informed and positive. A friend of mine comes from a very similar family and he's a really smart, normal guy. Regardless of the ethical implications, I think the donor and child could be very beneficial in one another's lives, people can talk anything through when we really need to and as crazy as life can get sometimes, we're all still sharing the same planet. The best thing anyone can do for their family is be nice and remember that there truly is no such thing as a normal family. Whomever they are, people benefit from peace and respect among everyone in their lives.
