The US mid-term elections are coming and recently I have been bombarded by dozens of campaign ads through phone, TV, internet, and mail. Not to mention there are hundreds upon hundreds of political signs all over my city even just mere feet from the polling place. I find them to be really annoying. I think much of the money wasted on these ads could instead go towards something more productive like charity. Does anyone else hate them?

They do nothing for me.
All I care about is a politician's voting record. Campaign adds and promises are only to swoon fools.

I'm more about actions than words, so I don't put a lot of stock in the ads.

Tomorrow is the day that I finally don't have to see any political ads, it is also the day that we can finally tear down all the campaign signs that litter our streets.

I like them.

If you drink every time you hear a dishonest statement in a campaign ad you'll probably find them much more enjoyable.
And you'll find yourself trashed real quick.

I'm mixed about it to be honest. On one side I don't like being bombarded with ads, but it does help me with researching where they stand on each issue. Of course that is when I do a little bit of research on the topic, and I will be glad when we can finally be rid of them. 8)

Hate 'em.

Especially the ones where someone I've never met addresses me as 'Friend' and the ones where someone who lives on the other side of the county calls me 'Neighbor'.

The worst ones are where the candidate looks nothing like me, and then claims that we are just alike.

That sounds like an awful game because I watch stuff like "Love It or List It" and sometimes a bit of fox network (not much into opinion programs like The Five or O'Reilly, but others just do straight reporting), and there's campaign ads on all the time. I'll have to play that game with my bong instead.

I often catch myself wondering how many poor fools waste their votes because they just watched a television ad.
