I'm tired of everybody around me assuming how I feel based on my reactions or lack of reaction when they usually are not a true representation of my opinions or emotions. I'm tired of people believing they know how I feel better than I do just because I can't articulate and express myself properly, as though because I'm unable to express it that I'm unable to understand it independently. I'm tired of people not truly understanding me when I do my best to explain myself to them.

Okay enough of the little vent, does anybody else feel constantly misunderstood in similar ways?

Yes, it's ridiculously annoying. I usually just ignore it and let them think what they want to think, as trying to tell people they are wrong doesn't work very well.

Yes. Yes to everything you said. It's really frustrating and it really hurts when I can't articulate what I'm feeling, and someone else just steps in and tells me what I'm feeling, and they get it wrong. It makes me angry when that happens, and the anger makes my original frustration at not being able to articulate my feelings worse, which just feeds the cycle.

yes! and if you ever actually challenge them, or try to correct them and say that is NOT how you feel or think, they will get angry.

no no, they know your inner thoughts better than you do, how dare you try to argue. (/sarcasm) :cyclopsani:

The only person that does this to me is my husband, and I actually appreciate his input because most of the time I have no idea what I'm feeling.

I've been told I'm bored quite a lot. It's almost never true, as when I'm in a position of someone having an opportunity to observe me, I'm most decidedly not bored.

Some people I worked with kept thinking I was in a bad mood & upset about something when I wasn't. I just have problems showing the rite facial emotions.
