Inaho from Aldnoah Zero.

I liked Sidonia and the Index animes a lot too. My favorite from Index's universe is Accelerator.

Probably Jeanne from Osamu Tezuka and Eiichi Yamamoto's Kanashimi no Belladonna. I also like all the Sanrio characters, such as Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Pochacco, Keroppi, My Melody, Unico, Button Nose, and Cinnamoroll.

Makoto Kino and Haruka Tenou (SAILOR MOON).

Edward & Alphonse Elric. The anime and it's conclusion in the movie from 2003 was really good on an emotional level.

Probably Piccolo and Vegeta from DBZ

It's the only anime I've watched the majority of. I don't know if the Pokemon show would count as anime to people though, so I didn't know if I should say a character from that or not.

InuYasha. A half demon, half human guy trying his best to relate to the human world and failing... yep, sounds like a great character.

Tomoyo and Ushio from Clannad, Ash and James from the original Pokemon series. I also like a lot of the characters from Hayao Miyazaki's movies, like the sisters from My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. I also liked Chihiro from Spirited Away (although I hated that movie; it was disturbing.)

I love the artistic style and (generally speaking) slower pace of anime, but have a hard time finding any that aren't creepy or overtly sexual. Anyone have any recommendations?

SAILOR MOON (including the new one): some romance/drama, a lot of action. Not creepy at all, unless you count the "youma" (monsters) and some of the attitudes of the villains (though I just find them laughable in most cases).

YU YU HAKUSHO: okay, he's killed and comes back as a ghost/spirit detective. A little weird, but mostly action.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: VERY action-oriented, plus focusing on the relationship between the two brothers.

I like full metal alchemist and full metal alchemist brotherhood very much, they were so beautiful, but I didn't have a favorite character I liked all the characters the same. I liked the plot and ideas and morals and conclusions of it so much though.

I'll add Aldnoah Zero to the list of not-creepy-or-overtly-sexual animes.

It's a semi-post-apocalyptic story with humans from Mars invading Earth and the main characters escaping from various war zones while trying to figure out what is going on.
