Does anyone else find that they are observing themselves? Just a thought. I mean, knowing what I'm like, I 'naturaly' modify my behaviour, but find myself curious about it. I am pretending to be NT and its wierd, not realy me.
Theres something I noticed if I take my initials, (they're NT, which I'm not) but if I include my middle name, it's NST, =Not So Typical. I like being AS, given that I know no differnet. So I can amuse myself when I watch me not being me. How about you?

I seem to always be observing myself and it drives me insane at times, I get into mental knots doing this...especially when I second guess myself.

I'm always observing myself and analyzing. I have a suspicion this is something we do.

Every waking moment...it's because I've always got so many things wrong that I am now programmed to think, think, think before I do anything out of the routine. It buggers me up for days and weeks if I get even the littlest thing wrong in a social exchange. I cringe and cringe and can't face myself mentally - so it's become really important to me to analyse mistakes so that I can learn not to do it again.

I go through my day with a little running narrative, made by yours truly. It's quite fun, and even though it would drive most people insane, I find that it is often the only thing that makes my day interesting.

All the time except when I'm completly absorbed in something else like homework.

I just like to imagine that I'm the star of my own life movie. It's pretty interesting.

BTW, the last two letters of my last name are nt! lol

Uhh - I do that letter thing too ... providing combinations for meanings... like My X's last name means fecal, and Mine does too , but in two opposing langauges.

Notice how many little strangenesses we share? So many of these are not listed dx criteria.

I oft, but not always, feel as though I am driving myself by remote control. Somewhat unnerving at times, but at 53 I am accustomed to it.

Ain't it to find that you are not really abnormal - but quite normal within a strange group?

Yeah - of course, you're right, it's exhausting. Hadn't tied that up. And like nutbag says, isn't it interesting how many little behaviours we have in common even though the Official Criteria are silent on the realities of our lives...?
