Autistic? Aspie? HFA?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.
I think I would like to identify as a Unique Human Being (UHB).

How about you?

My husband told me this morning that I am like a nut with a genetic defect so that it is shaped funny but still tastes good. In other words, I am weird but palatable.

Other than that, I have been described as being a "weird duck".

Most likely ADHD plus inattentive with autistic features and OCD.

I think I have an unnamed condition that some people think is autism. I don't think it is. I also suspect I have OCD and ADHD. I usually pretend I'm just a regular person.

That's a quote from Tron Legacy, a movie that sums up my thoughts and feelings about everything in an awkward and self-conscious way.

I identify as autistic. I usually tell people I have AS because people in Ireland have heard of that but they usually think of autistic as very low functioning.

Autonomous of the greater social culture of the present. Independent. Not in a romanticized way, just different.
Also as Asperger and High Functioning.
Some days as schizoid.

I identify as Aspie, autistic, also dyslexic, & disabled online but I just use dyslexic & disabled offline.

I see myself as a very confused female aspie whom I suspect is asexual.

Yet, I can't disclose that off and online until one is ready that is.

Outside, I'm identified as a childish eccentric adult, and it's better that way than something patronizing due to disclosure. Online, I'm just some rambling wanna-be, and it's hilarious and better that way.

I use both aspie and autistic to identify myself.
