My college has found a new way to increase the cost of education...
They are doing a "trial run" for McGraw-Hill's online "Connect" services. They are doing it on the second major semester of the year. Most science and history classes use the same textbook for two semesters.
In other words, all the students either have to buy the exact same book again to continue for the second half of the class.
It also prevents the use of the International Editions of the textbooks (exactly the same content, but a lot cheaper, and with a sticker that says "Not To Be Used in America.")

Not only that, but it greatly increases stress levels, at least for me. Instead of having to check three websites to see whether or not I have homework, I now have to check 4 different sites... and I'm only taking 3 classes.
-email, blackboard, connect, mymathlab.

And I honestly can't handle it.

MyMathLab is the #1 cause of meltdowns for the last two semesters. Now they add another horrible website to it. I don't sign up for hybrid classes for a reason, I only dealt with MyMathLab because the school doesn't allow for alternatives.
