Hi, I'm new here.
I haven't even started reading what other people do in these intros, (I know, bad.) but here goes:
I'm in my early 40s and I'd finally accepted that I've been struggling with depression my whole life, and it wasn't going to magically go away. Meds don't do much but without them, I can seesaw pretty badly...
So, after a few years on antidepressants, and a few runs through counseling, I recently ended up seeing a new psychologist.
The first five minutes of conversation led her to ask a question I'd never even considered:
"Do you have Asperger's?"
Well, the fact that I'm here probably indicates that the answer is yes, but I haven't been diagnosed 'officially' yet, but I have an appointment for a full battery of screenings, ASD, ADD, ADHD, cyclothymia and more in a couple weeks.
So, hello, I'm Chris.
