Hi,
I wasn't totally sure where to categorize this post, but here goes.

What are some good ways of personal budgeting? Whenever I do research about personal budgeting it looks so cumbersome, energy, and time consuming. I generally like math and I shouldn't feel that way about it but I do. It seems tedious to record every purchase you make when you get the receipt. In the last few years, I have not been able to save the desired portion of my earnings because of my inability to find or create a budgeting technique that's easy, rudimentary, and fun.

I believe that budgeting should be an art.

How do you budget? Have you came up with your own variant of common ways?

Budgeting isnt that hard. First you need to calculate what you absolutely need and whether you have loans to pay. Then you have about enough left for you to plan what to do with it. Most importantly you need food and eventually public transport or gas. Only drive a car when it is really necessary. If the grocery store is within a mile of your house, then walk. It will save you money. When you buy food, you shouldn't have excessively high standards, so no pomegranate, no buffalo burgers, no expensive fish. Depending on where you live, cooking may be cheaper than buying microwave meals or canned soup.
