1)...The Question?

"Is it time for me to go and leave you
folks alone?"

2)...Statements From Ghosthunter!

Post subject: If a forest burns, can awareness
save it?
---------
We all live in a forest of tree's, within each
one we carry a aspect of ourselves. If
this forest burns can awareness save it.

I harbour my feeling in the tree's, and my
heart in the leaves that may drop on your
head in hopes their wisdom can guide.
If this forest burns, can awareness save it.

I Post thoughts and feelings, not expecting
every one to understand what I say, for
that is why I am online, not talking with
anyone in the I-physical world. If this
forest burns can awareness save it.

I have made mistakes even in this podium,
and see that the leaves are wilted. tangled
in branches of emotions Knowing that no
harm was meant. I learn from others as
I can only hope that they can learn from me,
and I say sorry. If this forest burns can
awareness save it.

I hear(from my mind to yours), I listen
fewer times(from your mind to mine).
I see no love in this heart and when I express
it, it is to give what I can give to the best
of my being, spirit, and I-Physical. When this
forest burns can awareness save it.

What I don't see is TV, Movies, Video Games,
and media things as such, but love in my
limited heart and the hope that a few may
see that their forests don't burn. If my
forest burns, can awareness save it.

I can say yes, but sometimes I wonder.

SORRY FOR THE MISTAKES AND MISPOSTINGS
FROM YESTERDAY.

Most unhappily yours,
Ghosthunter(with many tears on his face)

What about different different restictions for
different offenses? For example, people like
"171NewYork" need to be quarantined to keep
their insanity from contaminating the rest of
the site (just like 171NewYork probably is righ
now in real life). Then there's people like
"Ghosthunter". While he didn't do anyhting wrong,
at first he posted in reply to anything and evrything
with messages that were extremely dificcult to
understand. In his case, it might have
been better if he had some sort of restriction to his
number of posts instead while he received
constructive feedback on his ettiquite.

Let me clarify. What Ghosthunter needed (and could
still use) is lots of feedback on his ettiquite. What I
was saying was that Ghosthunter probably shoudn't
have made as many posts as he did while he was forst
learning that ettiquite.

I think that is mean of you. Do you really think it
would have helped him more by stopping him from
posting and telling him how to 'asimilate' for you
would have worked??

GRRRR!! I like the way GhostHunter is in his natural

Ghosthunter has sought feedback on his writing
on many occasions and received it. I think it's
inappropriate to comment negatively on another
member in this way. All of us have some problems
in communication and/or social appropriateness.

I stand accused(and representing future HFA's

I will stand here take final judgement, for I done
all that I could to retain my essence and not reduce
myself to being submissive to every whim of

their own well being. I gave my heart and trust

As Elanor Roosevelt used to say, "nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent."

I don't always understant GhostHunter's posts but I guess that's as much *my* problem as it is his.

You know, enough is enough. I am getting aggrevated with these attacks on Ghosthunter. :x

Although this site was created primarily for those with AS, it is going to attract others on the spectrum, particularly high end HFAs. We have to be more willing to accept those persons. Those of us who are more able should also be willing to teach those who are less able how to do things. That is one of the best ways that the ASD community can help each other.

Yes, at times Ghosthunters posts are hard to read. It they are hard to read and I really want to read what he has to say, I simply take the time to reread the post until (and possibly try to form an image in my head) of what he is trying to way. If I do not want to read it, I don't read it.

As this site becomes more popular, We will enounter more people like Ghosthunter. We should embrace them and give them a safehaven to learn skills that they can then try to use outside of the site.

I hope Ghosthunter will stay.

Edit: I spelled a word wrong and it made the message and my thoughts alot worse than they truly are

No you shouldnt go, but can you try to allow your posts to fill the entire screen from now on? It kinda confuses me just after reading someone elses post where they take up the entire screen to come to a section that is barely a third...........

If you can't, oh well. But could you try at least :D

I can't really see much attack upon Ghosthunter. He is taking it way too close to heart. Sean's merely commenting on your writing style. While it is a destructive criticism, it doesn't have to be. Take it lightheartedly and forget it.

As far as I understand, the problem is that Ghosthunter writes too many and too long post, that are difficult to read. I think anyone who is on the spectrum should be allowed to post here. Isn't this place supposed to be about diversity? If we can't speak our minds here in the way we want to speak our minds, where are we supposed to do it?

This is actually the only place on earth I have found acceptance, and every single one of you inspire me to keep on hoping for something better, as I am trying to make my life okay.

I don't want Ghosthunter to leave here, nor do I want anyone else to do so.

This kind of thing happened on a newsgroup I used to belong to. One of the members had a unique way of writing that really bothered one of the other members. There was an all out war on the newsgroup because of it. I will not say that anyone should "just try harder" to understand & read Ghosthunters' posts because I'm sure there are a few in this forum that maybe physically cannot make sense of this type of writing and it becomes frustrating for them. It may also be that Ghosthunter cannot express himself any other way, either. (Incidently, I do not think the newsgroup ever resolved their problems concerning this type of "gridlock" but many went away with hurt feelings.)

I just want you to know Ghosthunter, for the record, that I enjoy your posts and do not wish to see you leave. I may not always understand or agree with everyones' posts on WP but I am glad for the opportunity to read those posts.

PS - Ghosthunter, My son and I are also "High Functioning Autistic" and feel like I have an "extremely wordy-mind" which can sometimes keep me from sleeping.

I don't understand the persercution of ghosthunter here... I don't see him as an antagonist like LGB was. He's just someone who has a lot to say. Granted early on it was hard to understand what he was writing, he has gotten better at it.

AS, HFA, LFA, were all in the same boat, and I don't feel it to be wise by throwing him overboard.

This site would be loosing a lot by loosing him.

Ghosthunter, I hope you can see that you are accepted here. I do not want you to go, and neither do a lot of the other members.

I find your posts interesting and thought-provoking. They are sometimes difficult to understand, but I think you have improved a lot in this area. I think we need to all work to meet halfway here. Ghosthunter is already extending the effort to meet us halfway, as is evidenced in his improvements in communication, and his seeking advice in how to improve his posting style. I am more than willing to meet Ghosthunter halfway, even if his posts take me a bit longer to read, I still enjoy them, and I think it is worth it.

The way I see it is this: if you do not want to take the time to understand Ghosthunter's posts, then that is your own problem, not his. He is already putting in more time and effort to try to make himself more clear. If you don't like reading his posts, there is no need to attack or insult him for it, just don't read them. If you are having trouble understanding Ghosthunter's posts, but you want to know what he's said, either ask him or another member for clarification. We are all here to help eachother and learn from eachother, are we not? Ghosthunter has already shown that he is willing to learn from us, and I myself have learned quite a bit from him.

That having been said, please don't go, Ghosthunter.

Ghosthunter, it looks like I owe you an apology.
I shouldn't have mentioned you in the same post as "171NewYork" or "coolblues". They are just looking for trouble whereas you are evidently seeking a positive, constructive social environment.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that me not understanding your writing style was my problem and I hope you stay and find whatever you were looking for here.

I accept your appology, and feel adquited.

I thank all the folks that spoke in my defense
and the defense of future HFA'rs on WrongPlanet.
We as HFA'rs are not perfect, and tend to not want
to be stifled to comformity, as would you
as AS'rs. I personally feel this is a deeper
root though, the fact that Sean appologized
doesn't hide the real messages true meaning.

The real message is that we as HFA's and AS's
don't grasp each other, though we may be
cousins with a autistic cause. This is why I am
doing a Phase by Phase study on the topic
and trying to create a document that may
allow us to cross this bridge.

The reason I gave warning to Andrew was I
have seen the AS underbelly(darker side) and
as you AS'ers have seen the HFA's underbelly
(darker side). I didn't want to see him victim to
the this underbelly. If Andrew hadn't said
he was HFA I would not be so alarmed. But
it would become very obvious and this darker
side will rear it's ugly head(AS'ers version).

I accept this appology out of politeness.
I question how deep this underbelly of
difference in AS and HFA darker sides
will antaganize, and traumatize future
member of the HFA clan on WrongPlanet.

Do not take this as a negative statement,
because overall I am glad Sean appologized.
As Yoda would say, Hmmmm? Young Aspie
there be the dark cave, know it, you feel
it, DON'T LET IT consume you! And for future
HFA members I hope this made this uniting
bridge more solid.

With a clear conscious, and a suspicous
eye, I say thankyou for your continuing
support in for my cause and myself, and
may we see a stronger bridge and not
be consumed by this, our darkside tendencies,
thus we can grow together as one.

COURT ADJURNED AND VERDICT RENDERED,
and may there be more peace at WrongPlanet
for all in the spectrum(right now it is HFA & AS
related? to my knowledge.

I resume my regular posting now!
Thanks for your support,
From,
Ghosthunter
