Idea: Just the gay parts.

I've been watching the new series "The Night Shift" & one of the things I really like about the show is the fairly realistic portrayal of gay characters and their issues, ie coming out, being known as "the gay doctor" vs. primarily as a doctor and not wanting their sexual orientation to overshadow the rest of their life etc. I do like the rest of the show, too, and will likely continue to watch it so long as it's convenient to do so.
Then the other day I watched a new episode of "The Fosters" and there's a lesbian couple as well as a couple of gay teenaged boys who like each other. I found myself wanting to know what happens next between these boys with all the rest of the drama surrounding them etc.
Then that got me to thinking about how much of a trap marketing is with all of these gay character story lines popping up in tv shows lately... how they suck you in and make you want to watch their show just to find out what happens with the gay story line... which gave me an idea: For people like me that don't really watch much tv or care about it, I think it would be pretty cool to have some sort of video filter that would pull out just the gay parts and string them all together - perhaps after a season finishes airing or something - so that you can watch just the gay parts w/o having to watch the whole shows! Aaaaah, binge watching efficiency.
Unlikely to ever happen as I doubt the scenes are tagged with gay markers or anything lol but I thought it was a cool thought, anyways.
And obviously this couldn't apply to series like Queer as Folk where every scene is a gay part.

Great idea! I have the same interest in following the gay storylines without having to sit through entire episodes. The best alternative I have found so far is the gay excerpts that some people kindly post on YouTube. They are rather hit-and-miss, usually providing just individual popular gay scenes instead of subplots. Somehow they sneak them in under the copyright radar.

I've seen Queer as Folk. I think I might have seen all the episodes, if not, pretty close to it. I like that show.
But these are different characters, different stories etc. It would be kinda cool to just see the gay story clips and not have to spend the time to watch the whole series.
