what Game of Thrones characters do you like?

I really like Tyrion, the Imp he is a f***ing badass, even though his talent is not physical fighting.....well hell he probably is my favorite character thus far. I also like Arya, it is kind of funny my dad is the one who got me into the show because he read the books when he was in jail and then thought they did good with the show so he recomended I watch it. But yeah he said she reminded him of me, and having watched the show I can see that....I also like Daenerys, Jon Snow and that one girl who married joffery after he basically voided the marrige with Sansa. I also liked the guy Daenerys had to marry....lol some of the names are hard to remember. Also Jamie Lanister is a f***head for pushing that kid out the window but I feel he almost redeemed himself with helping that one Knight chick....then again he still has the weird thing with his sister....

Littlefinger. That guy has killed more people with lies than the rest of the characters have with swords put together, not to mention he personally disposed of two of my more hated characters. The show makes him out to be more evil than he is on paper, the book version of him is simply very self interested rather than malevolent.

Aside from Arya, Brienne, the Dragons, the Hound, Tyrion, Varys, and Jon Snow; Everyone I have liked in the books are dead. I liked Eddard Stark, he died; I liked Khal Drogo, he died; most of the other characters I don't care for and would to like to see die: Cersei (Definitely), Littlefinger (must happen soon!), Sansa (Stupid to believe in fairy stories and apply them to Joffrey and never suffered enough), other characters who should burn in dragon fire.

I am more looking forward to the Others nearly killing everybody before the dragons show up to burn them to death. I really don't want to see more than a few people survive as I think it would just reinforce the message of the books which happens to be simply "Be a complete and utter jerky piece of crap survive; be decent even slightly, die like a dog or just die somehow". The terrible villains keep winning in the books, I don't care for that. If we can't have a decent person surviving to the end, then kill off everybody, it will better that way.

I haven't kept up with the show, but I'm surprised there are still characters left.

First, let me say that I loathe Littlefinger for the same reasons Dox admires him---imagine that!

After this last episode, I kinda like Stannis. He's a good dad.

Also, I like Varys. I think he truly has the interests of the 7 Kingdoms at heart.

Martin often takes cues from actual history. In eastern history (the Islamic and Asian worlds) eunuchs were often entrusted with great power, as ministers/civil servants, because it was thought that they wouldn't be motivated by personal ambition. For the most part, this proved to be right.
