Just wondering how people felt after being told you have Aspergers? I guess because I have only just found out about Aspergers I also thought that one day I would just get over everything and just be normal but now being told I have aspergers knowing that this is my life. I dont know how I can cope with it. I find it exhausting. I think it just too much to cope with. How did you come to accept having Aspergers? How do you get though the day and cope with your sensory issues?

I've always known that I was "different."

I've had to accept it. It's just the way it is.

We must move on from that realization.

I was greatly relieved.

After a lifetime of having a go at all manner of self-improvement attempts, each providing some but only partial benefits, I felt I finally had a better handle on my core issues. That has provided me with a new and much more accurate context for setting expectations for myself, and for tapping into more effectively targeted, and hence more helpful, tools and other resources.
