Death of Dr. James Jeffrey Bradstreet – should we believe the conspiracy theorists?

Wikipedia entry link:

Quote:
Bradstreet has published some controversial autism research, which implicates vaccines in the causation thereof, in the fringe journal Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, which is not indexed by PubMed. This research has concluded that autistic children have a higher body burden of mercury,[5] as well as that three autistic children have measles virus RNA in their cerebrospinal fluid.[6] This research was originally presented to the Institute of Medicine before they published their report concluding that the evidence favors rejection of a relationship between vaccines and autism.[7]

Maybe he realized he was wrong.

I don't pay much attention to his ilk so i am unfamiliar with the man.

based only on that article we don't have much to go on.

found in the wild, gunshot wound to the chest, cops say it looks self-inflicted.

so I'd have to ask things like, was he known to possess a gun? was he shot with that gun? gun found at the scene? etc.

It's said that he sold people pseudoscience cures. Maybe he had a conscience?

The AMA has been making some noise about the possibility of taking disciplinary action against licensed doctors who espouse quackery. Maybe he was afraid that he was going to have to face that?

Maybe Jenny McCarthy did it.

Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything when I read that!

Vaccines in of themselves are not harmful & do not cause or contribute to autism.

Now the crap that they might put in it from corporate-sources, such as lead, mercury, and other absolutely unnecessary additives, now that's another story related to things you can learn about in Agenda 21 Documentaries...

...also going to add a quote from a commenter to the linked article just because...

I spoke to Jeff at 12:30 that Thursday just when the FDA was there. He was calm and told me there was a emergency he would call me back the next day, Friday. He was a genius a very very smart man who would not have killed himself over this on such short notice. He would not leave his family hanging and it is against his beliefs to kill himself. this man was a hero that I believe was killed because he was going to cost the drug companies a lot of money by proving they had been behind autism. I have never believed in a conspiracy before but this is too obvious!

But how often when learning someone they knew has committed suicide do friends and relatives say they can't believe it, they just talked to them, they would never do such a thing, etc.... ?

I think the circumstances sound suspicious for a suicide, but I'm more likely to place bets on a jealous lover than "Big Pharma."

While he was apparently in life at best a stupid man, while at worst a conman who took advantage of desperate and gullible parents, I still offer my condolences to his family.

Agreed. Family can't choose whether to love.

I also agree, because people don't get to choose their families.
