I can still remember this my first semester from all these years ago. And when my roommate showed up, he wasn't that great a guy. So, some suggestions:

1) the lonelies are normal,

2) medium exercise regime early to mid in the day,

3) maybe even pre-study a little bit. I like to read or study in safe, semi-public places. And pre-studying can be done deliciously casual, doesn't even have to be your classes. It's just a way of warming up the engines.

And casually walking with a dormmate from the dorm to a store, or from the dorm down to the cafeteria, that seems to be the beginning possible stages of friendship.

And finding matter-of-fact ways with measured honest (briefly) of saying, I'm spectrum and I need a lot of downtime. Or, something to that effect. You do not need to disclose unless it's your own free choice.

Please share your ideas.

Haha yes, I have fond memories of this time. It's almost magical having a place to yourself before your roommates show up (I didnt like my roommates either).

My suggestions are: explore the campus and/or explore your city. Play basketball or something outside. Write down your first impressions, it might be funny to look back on later.

- Get a single room if you can or if you can afford it.
- Join a club.
- Make an effort to go to events on campus.
