Anyone Like The Animated Series "Aeon Flux"?

Anyone here like the animated series Aeon Flux? When it first premiered on tv I would catch the broadcasts when I could. Later I bought the DVD and after watching it a couple of times realized that most of the episodes are thick with sexual innuendo. In fact most of the plots are cryptically based on male versus female conflict in reproductive desire and tactics. I think some of the themes in Aeon Flux are sexually degenerate. Thankfully the most disgusting parts are short in duration.

I recently came across the series at IFLIM and started watching it again. Even though it is somewhat decadent I still like watching it.

I loved that! I was so dissappointed when I borrowed the DVD and it was different. It had... dialogue.

I've seen seven episodes on iFilms so far. A pretty good series. A bit trippy but still good.

a lot of the programming from mtv then was like that....hence why they had the oddities. the head was another awesome series.

Peter Chung's work is awesome if you like Aeon Flux also check out Alexander Senki which he did the character design for as well, its a futuristic retelling of the Alexander the Great story.

The movie really put me off any further 'fluxing'. It sucked hard.

I haven't watched the Aeon Flux motion picture because I heard it was terrible. From what I've seen and read, the movie was not true to the animated series. Charlize Theron doesn't have the right look to play Aeon Flux.


Just as a note, I checked the list of online episodes I posted earlier and I believe the first six chapters aren't as suggestive as the rest. They seem to have been created separately.

Jacob_Landshire, Those picture are awesome! I especially love the one of the eye with the fly. I have not seen this series I should check it out.
I also heard the movie was crap! I am not a fan of Miss Theron! I really don't like it when the movie is not true to the original material. that always seem to spoil it. That is too bad about the sexual undercurrent though, that tend to ruin it for me.

Glad you like the pics. The first six episodes in the link I posted are shorter and not saturated with erotica. Maybe give those a try.

the only part of the movie that is true to the series is that aeon and trevor have sex. but they make up a previous romance for the excuse to have sex in the movie...in the tv show, it was just pure animalistic sex and nothing more. in fact i think they killed each other a couple times immediately after.

Bought the DVD at a ridiculously low price.
Too surreal for me get interested in though. At least for now. My mind ain't really up for it right now -- to busy behaving surreal itself.

It’s really too bad they didn’t do a better job on the movie. The animated series had some great concepts and characters. They could have just “cut and paste” to make a better film. What a waste…
