Ok! Welcome to the 1st Annual Aspies. I am your Host and today we will be presenting awards to people
who have helped contribute to an Aspie or the Aspie community in a large or even trivial way. First award goes to.....Me!
For creating this thread and spreading hundreds of future awards to those that deserve them! The next presenter is.....

Well, aren't you a lovely audience?? *crickets chirping*
I'm Cellogirl, and I'm so happy to be your host this evening!! !
The next Aspie award goes to Alex, for creating the site. *groans, someone shouts 'suck-up!'*
We had to get it out of the way, people, stop groaning!
Now, the next host needs to come up, as quickly as possible, if you don't mind.
(God, they're never happy, are they? I feel like Marie Antoinette coming face-to-face with the French populace!)

The next award goes to Tony Attwood, for obvious reasons. Also, a Negaward is given to CAN for their contributions too!
*MEGA applause*

Yes...thank you folks. Now...some people are wondering..."why didn't we get a celebrity host on here?" Well, the Aspie Awards are on a very limited budget, so to save time, we literally get presenters off the street. Saves us enough money to actually have an after party.

So...without much further ado, I'd like to present the next award to CharlesR, for helping to manage the IRC chats.

And, next host...come on down.

My award is given to English athlete and neurologist Roger Bannister, who defied all the Aspie stereotypes and overcame obstacles to show that an accomplished well-rounded life is possible for AS people.

Conversely, my Negaward goes to all naysayers who say we can't do certain things.

Well...it seems that the other hosts have drifted from time to time...so, back to me. Now, I know what you're thinking, how the general public always expects a great monologue from the hosts...well...I'll provide one for ya. Now...where to get it from...Macbeth...no...Romeo and Juliet...nope. Oh! A COMEDIC monologue! Well. I got nothing.

This next award I'd like to give to Taylor Cross, maker of the film, "Normal People Scare Me", who went through such a vast project at such a young age, so kudos to you.

Thank you UP, I do not have a comedic monologue to share with everyone so...the next 3 awards go to the following:

Jerry & Mary Newport for obvious reasons,*groans, someone shouts a profanity at me* OH QUIT YOUR GRUMBLING EVERYONE! They defied the odds of staying together and got hitched twice!
Now, they are grandparents with their third book in production.

Temple Grandin for her books and on the insights of Autism and Aspergers.

Stephen Shore for his insights on Aspergers.

Is that Ron Bass at the entrance?! Will security escort Mr. Bass out of this virtual building?!

The next award goes to (drumroll)... Satoshi Tajiri, Aspie and creator of a little franchise known as Pokémon. Perhaps you've heard of it.

Our next host is...

Mark Evans for directing Snow Cake.
And the last award goes to.........

And now, I am back for another award.

Our next award goes to... Craig Nicholls, lead singer of The Vines. Like 'em or not, you gotta respect them. Especially when their lead singer/songwriter is an Aspie.

While I'm up here, I hand out the next award to Aspie to music man Gary Numan.

Now, for our next award...

Ah...I'm back again.

The next award goes to Liane Holliday Willie for her books and insights on being one with Aspergers and having a daughter with Aspergers as well.
