WTF kind of Christian values is she learning. Jesus loved everyone. I don't know if he'd care that you're gay or not. If rituals could change one's sexual desires, I'm sure that churches would have saved themselves hundreds of millions in damage payments and performed them on their own clergy.

I've been taught that rituals can never change sexual desires or sexual preferences. What they do is put physchological conditioning (like a taboo) where person would think his actions are by means of self-control restrain from doing it even if he/she wants it. Since people (especially NPs) want to fit in the society if they are told this is bad and not desirable in the society, they would abide by these rules (which maybe laws or can be church teachings or something else) imposed by society. For aspis I'd expect that this type of self-conditioning would not work well at all.

In any case I think you need to explain to your mother reason most of your friends are of the same sex is that its who its easier for you to deal with largely due to that you're aspi. Also personally speaking I do not show publicly clear indications of interest in girls, but that does not mean I'm gay, its just impossible for anyone to read me (then again I maybe wrong above and unlike me you may really be gay - nothing wrong with that!)
