What albums coming out later this year are you looking forward to? What recent albums from this year do you like the most?

Mine:
-Kidneythieves' untitled 2007 album
-Celldweller's untitled 2007 album
-Zeromancer - Stay Sinners
-The Kovenant - Aria Galactica
-Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
-Fluffy Starr - Come On!

I WAS looking forward to Marilyn Manson's Eat Me, Drink Me until I heard the single, "Heart Shaped Glasses," which debuted on a French radio station and leaked onto YouTube. (I really don't like it.) This is especially irksome given that two other kings of Industrial, Nine Inch Nails and Skinny Puppy, have both had 2007 albums I found disappointing. (NIN's album, "Year Zero," may technically not be out yet, but it can be streamed online at their MySpace.) This was looking like such a good year for Industrial, but all these Industrial heavyweights seem to be having albums that really don't sound all that Industrial. So I hope other people enjoy these albums more than I do.

On the bright side, I've also listened to Dimmu Borgir's "In Sorti Diaboli" (which can also be streamed online), and I really like it, maybe best of all their albums. (I know everyone else finds "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant" to be their best, but I find it much harder to get into because it lacks those symphonic elements I love.) I've also found Within Temptation's "The Heart of Everything" to be quite lovely, and I really liked the 300 soundtrack.

Erasure - Light at the End of the World

Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist

And also I keep hearing The Cure are coming out with a new album this year but they never give a definite release date. Does anyone know about this? I just keep hearing vague things like "We hope it will be out by March" (it wasn't) and "It might be a double album".

I am interested in hearing the new Nightwish album too. I'm not sure if I will like them as much without Tarja.

Checked that one out, was oookay.

I forget what albums are coming out.. so.. I guess I will update when I remember.
I did check out Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank Planet just today though. Very good.
Also anticipating Woods of Ypres - Woods 3: The Deepest Roots and Darkest Blues.

And when I remember who else released/is releasing an album.. then.. dotdotdot.

Edit: already remembered one; Finntroll - Ur Jordens Djup wasn't bad at all.
And another! Forgotten Tomb - Negative Megalomania. Much liking that one.

Started listening to Vision of Atlantis' new album, Trinity. Haven't finished it though because the male vocals ruin it. Would be better if the female vocalist sang alone.

I almost never know of albums before they come out. The only one I can think of is The Fragile Army by The Polyphonic Spree, and that's only because I see it mentioned when I browse the band's fan forums for tour info. I'm also not even sure that I'm anticipating it or not. I bought their previous two albums as Used.

Hahaha, "heavy weights", genius.

The Kovenant - Aria Galactica

I don't know about any other bands because I don't follow their recent history very closely.

If you like Industrial you might check out Mortiis and Gary Numan (Recent works), Godflesh, The Electric Hellfire Club, Chemlab, :wumpscut:, Brighter Death Now, Deathboy, also The Jesus Lizard, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and Big Black are good rock bands that are nonetheless very noisy.

I just gave you a preview of some of the effects Industrial has had on music, and a splattering of bands from various Industrial sub genres, though you'll have to figure out which one is from which if you don't already know.
