Hi nurseangela,
I would suggest updating your Roku by adding ChannelPear.
Go to
https://channelpear.com/ and click on the Roku icon seen on their list of compatible devices.
CP lets you choose up to 50 worldwide live channels for free or you can upgrade to premium which has no limits. If you need help my username on their Media board is "strapshoechris".
Yes QVC is on their list of available streams as well as HSN and TSC, although I don't care to have any of those in my lineup, as I prefer brick-and-mortar shopping as much as possible.
I would also suggest adding FilmOn if you don't already have it (gives you AP news, BBC News, Voice of America, DVIDS a.k.a. Armed Forces TV, Pivot TV, and various African as well as Carribean channels in English).
Another Roku Channel called NewsOn gives you live access to most major US television market affiliates that offer newscasts in all four time zones. So does one called Livestream.
Finally a newer Roku Channel called Pluto TV sort of simulates basic cable TV service, but they're a bit limited on their offerings so far being a recent startup.
I would try to hook up your Roku using HDMI cable if you have a modern flatscreen TV such as mine are...
FWIW, that's Channel 4 from the UK on my screen.
I'm wanting simple as possible. I'm just looking to purchase another Roku and I'm wondering if I can just hook it up the same way on the back of the machine.
