Trump is a bigot. and he has little to no political experience. but he isnt what scares me there are plenty of big shots out there like him. what scares me are the people who support him and the idea of him as president.

this country will fall to pieces. i wouldn't be shocked if we had a civil war if he became president. i dont think its likely but i wouldnt be shocked if it did happen.

I cant go to canada

first of all im finally begining to get services. i cant just get up and go. second of all canada wouldn take a single disabled person into there country only way i could get in was to marry someone and im not doing that.

im also afraid of losing services if he becomes president

The other candidates need stop running scared and directly change him. This applies to both parties.

He is very poor when put on the spot. For instance his nuclear triad answer has to be the dumbest answer in the history of political debates. It was monumentally stupid.

Your TV debates kind of formal so they need to take it to him when he is trying to do his own thing.

Trump wants to use vague answers. Push him into specifics, that is where he struggles.

In all honestly I think it will be much closer in the end, and most like the the vote against Trump will be as dramatic.

However if he is elected I don't see him lasting a full term. What works in his line of work isn't really applicable to POTUS, and he won't be able to hold confidence that long.

I'd be shocked if he gets the Republican nomination.

What is any more scary about Trump than there is about Hillary or Rubio? They both want to start WWIII and are completely owned by Wall Street.

I guess now you know how some of us feel with Obama in the White House. Today he went after the guns and I haven't seen it yet, but I heard he "wept" during his speech. He must be trying out for an Emmy now after winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I'm going to need a good stiff one before viewing that.

Trump doesnt believe a word he says. He knows that a large segment of the population are sheeple with VERY minimal critical thinking skills. He is a showman. Say outrageous bold lies and the sheeple will be mesmerized like deer in a cars head lights.
His nonsense that the sheeple love
1. Immigration is the top issue. When was the last time you got mugged by a Mexican? Do you want to harvest cabbages? Immigration is as important as littering.
2. Build a wall and the Mexicans will pay for it. Ummm DUH Even a moron should see why that is stupid.
3. Drastically increase military funding without raising taxes or increasing the deficit. Violates basic arithmetic.
4. Make it a war against Islam and not ISIS. Trump is willing to put our troops at risk for votes!
Anyway, the average Trump supporter has at most a High School diploma. Trump knows how to make them believe anything.

With Mr. Trump pandering to the race-based fears of white people, he is certain to have lost non-white voters. Get every non-white of voting age to cast a ballot, and Mr. Trump's candidacy will become a mere footnote in history.

He's not going to get the republican nomination that he needs. This is assuming he actually wants to run and is not just stirring the pot for a while to shake things up. He's nothing more than a monster under the beds of the leftist children and a think of amusement to me for the time being.

It's called diversity (dīˈvərsədē). Maybe move to a country where there is no political diversity allowed like North Korea...

The fact that a person like Trump can rise to such a level of popularity where he might become president reveals huge inadequacies in the American education system.

People should be able to see that what he says doesn't make sense, but they ignore it or they can't see it.
I don't understand nt's for me I like it when people make sense.

If you do not like Trump, get someone else to run for President.

All the others are just adding grease to the political machine.

The Economy is the main issue, and Trump leads across the board.

Illegals are a drain on the economy, all immigration is, and one of the ways of getting more Americans good jobs is dealing with it. It is also a Security issue. Trump leads in Security.

To control immigration, we must control the borders, and half of the southern border already has a wall. It is not a new idea. The main idea of a wall is to stop the criminals, drugs, which fill 31% of our jail cells. A wall stops the cost of crime. Some of that cost is paid in blood.

The next issue is trade. Mitt lost because a lot of us knew that Bain Capital bought American Companies and sent production offshore. They did not care about American jobs, taxes paid, they went for the short term profit.

We do not have Free Trade, we cannot get our products into their markets. To have Fair Trade, we have to put a tariff on imports, that reflects what we are losing. Trump has the only Trade Proposals.

Our military is weak and over priced. Our better Generals have been saying so for decades. We spend a fortune on useless technology, and go cheap on the basics the troops need. We sent them into Iraq without body armor in un armored vehicles. The same for Afghanistan.

We can have a much more effective fighting force for a lot less money. The problem is Congress who own stock in Defense Contractors based in their Districts.

We should not send troops anywhere we do not expect them to win. It is what they train for, what they do, and a lot of it is secret. Stand around and see what happens is not a good use of troops.

Islam has been at war with Islam for 1400 years. ISIS was created and funded by the side we call allies.

Neither side in this religious war considers infidels friends. Let them settle their differences without us.

Islam is not compatible with Western Values, Systems of Government, and we have enough problems with our own. We banned Anarchists, Communists, because they wanted to overthrow our government, so does Islam.

We have a long list of educated hard working people who want to come here and become Americans.

To me, the worst thing about Trump is how simple and common sense his plans are. Somehow, government has not been able to deal with simple common problems for decades.

The last poster is on a first name speaking basis with senior members of the repulblican party.

"If you do not like Trump get someone else to run for president."

Is this a figure of speech?

Although a Trump presidency will likely be quite detrimental to the US economy and the foreign standing of the US (given the countries Trump already has alienated, including Mexico and China), even he would be subject to the checks and balances of the US political system, so it is unlikely that complete disaster would strike.

First of all, Donald Trump would face tremendous congressional opposition to implementing his proposed policies. Not only is he obviously loathed by the Democrats, but his economic policy is highly protectionist and anti-immigration, which is vehemently opposed by a lot of Republican politicians. Given the entrenched nature of congressional elections, it is unlikely that Trump would be able to secure a majority for many of his policies, especially not in both chambers of Congress.

Second of all, some of Trump's policies may simply be illegal in accordance to international law, and WTO in particular. While Trump probably would love to turn his back on international agreements, the US export sector could face a serious backlash, as US unwillingness to abide by WTO rules could subject US exports to counter-sanctions from other countries.

Third of all, Trump would probably also have a hard time recruiting talent to his administration, and his presidency would thus likely be marred by incompetence and internal conflict, making it difficult for Trump to actually pursue his policies.

As a result, Trump would likely not be quite as destructive as one might expect from his political platform, simply because he will have a hard time translating it into actual policy (this is often the great Achilles heel of demagogues, by the way).

Ummm No. We are not talking about banning free speech. We are saying what is obvious, trump supporters lack basic critical thinking skills. Does diversity include special needs people. Of course, but that does not mean that we should not try ro teach them.
