Personally I enjoy pokemon, mostly the main series but I have a few spinoffs (stadium/colloseum, conquest). The megami tensei series is also a favorite if I want something with a more mature plot. Video games are so great ^_^

I'm a big fan of RPGs and Adventure games. Platformers can be good too in small doses. I also come from the classic days of FPS so games like Wolfenstein and Doom very much appeal to me.

My favorite genre is probably Action... games like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry. I've also been slowly getting into fighting games and shmups as I'm not particularly familiar with either genre... The challenge of learning something new is certainly appealing, and I find both genres quite enjoyable even though I currently suck at them.

I'm not a big gamer, but what games I do like I'm very passionate about, and they're a little strange.

I love Touhou Project, which is a Japanese series of bullet-hell games. Think a vertical shooting game, but with bullets firing absolutely everywhere, creating colourful patterns but very difficult to dodge, topped off with beautiful music, and all the youkai (Japanese mythical beasts) are represented as anime-like girls. There are a few fighting games in the series, but the shooters are the main ones.

Another game I love as well is Kantai Collection, which is also a Japanese game. It's a web browser game about the Axis ships from WW2 represented as anime girls (a bit like how in Hetalia all the characters represent the countries of the world, with their personalities based on stereotypes and events during the wars). During the game you fight alien enemy ships (the Abyssal fleet) and get more ships in your fleet, and train them up to become stronger and more powerful. It's hard to explain but I really like it. There is an anime is said game but it's not very good.

As made evident by my avatar (Sans), I have a thing for Undertale at the moment too. I learnt about it via Tumblr and it's the first RPG I ever played, and I enjoyed it. But playing Undertale has made me want to try Earthbound out too. I've not found much time to play it, and I'm still very early into things, but I think I'll really like it!

Oh, and after watching Clannad, I want to play the visual novel.

MMORPGs and MOBAs are what I've mostly played the last 10 years. When I was a kid it was mostly RPG, RTS and sports games. Once in a while I'd play a game like Zelda, Metal Gear Solid or Devil May Cry as well. I was big into SOCOM 1 and 2 and have been getting into Counter Strike, so 3rd person shooters are something I can enjoy too. Games with a first person perspective can make me nauseous though, so they can be hard to get into.

Something online, with big communities, politics, economy and lots of PvP. Basically, all that I'm playing for last 10 years - PvP MMORPGs.

Bullet-hell games of any sort and fighting games are what I'm best at.

I also like roguelikes (either action or turn-based, both are fine), strategy games, puzzle games, and platformers.

I dont do RPGs or story-focused things.

I need a high level of difficulty in a game for it to hold my attention. Generally this leads to me sticking mostly to indie games, as the "major" games these days are incapable of providing this.

I can get into things like mobas as well, but I havent played in awhile as I still have arm troubles. But there's some like that and other competitive games I may jump back into soon. World of Tanks is a good non-moba one. Still havent tried World of Warships though I've got it all downloaded and patched now.

if you need difficulty I suggest megami tensei games. those can be hard. what exactly is a roguelike game?

Everything; RPG, racing, adventure, FPS, 3PS, horror, action, top down, roguelike, sometimes even sports games. The only games I'm not too keen on are JRPG's and turn based games, mostly because JRPG's are usually turn based.

My favourite franchises are Silent Hill, Dead Space, Half Life, Uncharted, The Last of Us (not a franchise just yet, but here's hoping), Little Big Planet, any Mario games, early Sonic games, Burnout, Gran Turismo, Bioshock, System Shock, Deus Ex, etc., etc.

Basically, I like all games, but some of them are kind of disappointing.

I like RPG's and action games where I can crush my way through waves of enemies (And civilians) - notably humans - and feel like a powerful Motherf***er.

The Witcher III, SWtFU and the InFamous franchise are perfect examples of this.

I like fantasy RPGs best, as well as Pokemon.
